This is a list of all personnel changes for the 2017 Indian Premier League (IPL).
The eight IPL teams could retain and release players from their squad during the retention window which ended on 15 December 2016. The salaries of the released players would be added to the salary purse of ₹66 crore, while the salaries of the retained players was deducted from this purse. The list of retained and released players was made public on 19 December 2016. [1] [2]
The first trading window was open in December 2016 while the second trading window was open from 13 to 20 January 2017. [3]

The players auction for the 2017 Indian Premier League was originally scheduled to be held in Bangalore on 4 February 2017, [4] [5] but was pushed forward by at least two weeks due to the BCCI–Lodha committee stand-off. [6] On 3 February, the BCCI announced that the auction would be held on 20 February in Bangalore and that a total of 799 players have signed up for it. [4] [7] On 14 February, the IPL Desk released a list of 351 players. [8]

The following players withdrew from the tournament either due to injuries or because of other reasons.

He is widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen from Sri Lankan cricket.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) is a professional franchise cricket team based in Mohali, Punjab, that plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Established in 2008 as Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), the franchise is jointly owned by Mohit Burman, Ness Wadia, Preity Zinta and Karan Paul. The team plays its home matches at the PCA Stadium, Mohali, although since the 2010 season, they have also played some home matches at Dharamsala and Indore. Apart from the 2014 season when they topped the league table and finished runners-up, the team has made only one other playoff appearance in 16 seasons.
Mayank Anurag Agarwal is an Indian cricketer who plays as a right-handed top-order batter. He plays for Karnataka cricket team in domestic cricket. He made his international debut for the India cricket team on 26 December 2018 against Australia at the MCG. He was bought by Sunrises Hyderabad for Rs 8.5 Crore, in the 2023 Indian Premier League auction.
The 2014 Indian Premier League season was the seventh season of the Indian Premier League, a professional Twenty20 cricket league established by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2007. The tournament featured eight teams, one fewer than in 2013 after the withdrawal of the Pune Warriors India, and was held from 16 April 2014 to 1 June 2014. The opening ceremony was held in the UAE on 15 April 2014. Kolkata Knight Riders won the tournament, defeating Kings XI Punjab by 3 wickets with Manish Pandey declared the man of the match in the final. The average attendance for the tournament was 31,751.

Mumbai Indians won the 2017 IPL Final by defeating Rising Pune Supergiants by 1 run thus winning their 3rd title.
Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) are a franchise cricket team based in Mohali, India, which plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL). They were one of the eight teams which competed in the 2017 Indian Premier League. The Kings XI Punjab drew an average home attendance of 20,001 in the 2017 IPL season.
The Deccan Chargers (DC) were a franchise cricket team based in Hyderabad, India, that competed in the Indian Premier League (IPL), a professional Twenty20 cricket (T20) league in India. They were one of the eight teams that competed in the 2009 Indian Premier League, making their second appearance in all IPL tournaments. The team was captained by Adam Gilchrist and coached by Darren Lehmann with Kanwaljit Singh and Mike Young as assistant coaches.
The 2019 season was the 12th season for the Indian Premier League franchise Kings XI Punjab. They were one of the eight teams that competed in the 2019 Indian Premier League. They were captained by Ravichandran Ashwin. KXIP finished 6th in the IPL and did not qualify for the playoffs.
The 2020 season was the 13th season for the Indian Premier League franchise Mumbai Indians. They were one of the eight teams competing in the 2020 Indian Premier League. Mumbai Indians were the defending champions. The team is currently being captained by Rohit Sharma with Mahela Jayawardene as team coach. They won their fifth ever title by beating Delhi Capitals on 10 November 2020.
