Northern Valley is the name for a region of New Jersey, United States, contained within Bergen County. The region consists of fifteen municipalities: Alpine, Bergenfield, Closter, Cresskill, Demarest, Dumont, Englewood, Englewood Cliffs, Harrington Park, Haworth, Northvale, Norwood, Old Tappan, Rockleigh, and Tenafly.

Located in the northeastern corner of New Jersey and its Gateway Region, Bergen County is part of the New York City Metropolitan Area and is directly across the Hudson River from Manhattan, to which it is connected by the George Washington Bridge.
Alpine is a borough in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. It is located 15 miles (24 km) north of Midtown Manhattan. Alpine is the easternmost community in the state of New Jersey.
