Laverton, originally known as British Flag, is a town in the Goldfields region of Western Australia, and the centre of administration for the Shire of Laverton. The town of Laverton is located at the western edge of the Great Victoria Desert, 957 kilometres (595 mi) north-northeast of the state capital, Perth, and 124 kilometres (77 mi) east-northeast of the town of Leonora, with an elevation of 461 metres (1,512 ft).

It consists of 99 wind turbines with a generation capacity of 315 megawatts (422,000 hp). The plant is owned and operated by Neoen, a French renewable energy company.
Neoen is a French producer of exclusively renewable energy headquartered in Paris, France. Founded in 2008, it develops, finances, builds and operates solar power plants, wind farms and energy storage solutions. As at 31 December 2021, the company's total capacity was 5.4 GW, made up of 50% solar, 38% wind and 12% battery storage. Neoen aims to attain 10 GW in operation and under construction by 2025.
Colleambally Solar Farm is a photovoltaic power station near the town of Coleambally in New South Wales, Australia. It is on the western side of the Kidman Way north of the town.
Kiamal Solar Farm is a photovoltaic power station under construction north of Ouyen in western Victoria, Australia. Stage 1 is expected to be completed by the end of 2019. It is owned by Total Eren, a renewable energy subsidiary of TotalEnergies When completed, stage 1 at 256MW will be Victoria's largest solar farm. Construction began in October 2018. It has energy offtake agreements with Mars Australia, Flow Power and Alinta Energy.
The Metoro Solar Power Station is a 41 megawatts solar power plant in Mozambique. The power station was developed by a consortium comprising Neoen, a French independent power producer (IPP), based in Paris, France and Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM), the Mozambican electricity utility company. Construction began in October 2020, with commercial commissioning expected in the fourth quarter of 2021.
Bangweulu Solar Power Station (BSPS), is a 54 MW (72,000 hp) solar power plant in Zambia. The solar farm that was commercially commissioned in March 2019, was developed and is owned by a consortium comprising Neoen, a French IPP, Industrial Development Corporation of Zambia, a government parastatal company and First Solar, a US-based solar panel manufacturer. The power station cost US$60 million to develop.
The Victorian Big Battery is a grid-connected battery electricity storage facility adjacent to the Moorabool Terminal Station (substation) near Geelong in Victoria, Australia. The battery provides 450 MWh of storage and can discharge at 300 MW. It surpasses the 250 MWh Gateway Energy Storage in California, United States. As of December 2021, the project is the largest lithium-ion battery in the Southern Hemisphere.
