Okribites is a perisphinctoidean ammonite from the middle Jurassic [1] of the Republic of Georgia. It is assigned to the family Parkinsoniidae, a group of strongly but evenly ribbed evolute, commonly discoidal ammonites. [2] Parkinsonia is a related genus. [3]
Stephanoceras is an extinct genus of Stephanoceratoid ammonite which lived during the Bajocian. It is the type genus of the family Stephanoceratidae.
Acanthohoplites is an extinct genus of ammonites in the family Parahoplitidae that lived in the Aptian and Early Albian stages of the Early Cretaceous.
Anahoplites is a genus of rather involute, compressed hoplitid ammonites with flat sides, narrow flat or grooved venters, and flexious ribs or striae arising from weak umbilicle tubercles that end in fine dense ventrolateral nodes. The elements of their sutures are short, wide and jaggedy. Specimens of Annahoplites have diameters typically in the range of 4–6 centimetres (1.6–2.4 in) although some with diameters of as much as 19 centimetres (7.5 in) have been reported. The genus lived during the Cretaceous, from the Middle to the late Albian.
Audaxlytoceras is an extinct genus of lytoceratid ammonites.
Austrotrachyceras is a genus of ammonite cephalopod, belonging to the order Ceratitida.
Durotrigensia is a genus of ammonites (Ammonitida) in the perisphinctoid family Parkinsoniidae.
Oecoptychius is an extinct genus of fossil ammonite cephalopods. The species lived during the Middle Jurassic.
Exiteloceras is an ammonite genus from the Late Cretaceous.
Peltoceras is an extinct ammonite genus from the aspidoceratid subfamily Peltoceratinae that lived during the later part of the Middle Jurassic.
Oxynoticeratidae is a family of true ammonites included in the superfamily Psiloceratoidea.
Macroscaphites is an extinct cephalopod genus included in the Ammonoidea that lived during the Barremian and Aptian stages of the Early Cretaceous. Its fossils have been found throughout most of Europe and North Africa.
Calycoceras is an extinct genus of cephalopods belonging to the subclass Ammonoidea and family Acanthoceratidae that lived during the Cenomanian stage of the Late Cretaceous, 100-94 Mya. Their shells had ornate ribs.
Hauericeras is an ammonite genus from the Late Cretaceous that lived from the Coniacian to the late Maastrichtian, from about 90 to 66 mya. Fossils have been found in Europe, Russia, South Africa, Australia, India, Iraq, and in the United States.
Melchiorites is a desmoceratid ammonite genus included in the subfamily Puzosiinae. Member species are characterized by an essentially evolute shell in which the early whorls are smooth, with sinuous radial or oblique constrictions but in which later whorls have feeble intermediate ribs on the outer part of the sides and venter.
Dufrenoyia is an extinct genus of Cretaceous ammonites included in the family Parahoplitidae. These fast-moving nektonic carnivores lived in the Cretaceous period. The type species of the genus is Ammonites dufrenoyi.
Parkinsoniidae is a family of ammonites belonging to the order Ammonitida. The cephalopod family lived from the Bajocian stage to the Bathonian age of the Middle Jurassic.
Parkinsonia is a genus of ammonites belonging to the family Parkinsoniidae.
Trachyceras is a genus belonging to the extinct subclass of cephalopods known as ammonites. Specifically it belongs in the order Ceratitida. They are distributed in Afghanistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, China, Germany, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Italy, the Russian Federation, Slovenia, United States.
Hannaoceras is a genus belonging to the extinct subclass of cephalopods known as ammonites. Specifically it belongs in the order Ceratitida.
Neoprotrachyceras is a genus belonging to the extinct subclass of cephalopods known as ammonites. Specifically it belongs in the order Ceratitida.
