History

Old Park was originally occupied by Old Park Iron Company, which was owned by Malinslee Hall. [3] [ failed verification ] The hall was demolished in the 1970s, being replaced by the then-new town of Telford. [4] Old Park was incorporated into the new town centre and is now a suburb of the town. [5] [6] [7]

The station is not far from the site of the former Lawley Bank station, which was only a short distance due north.
