Choriaster is monotypic genus in the family Oreasteridae containing the single species Choriaster granulatus commonly known as the granulated sea star. Other common names include big-plated sea star and doughboy starfish. This species is harmless to humans.

The seagrass eel or Suenson's worm eel, Chilorhinus suensonii, is an eel in the family Chlopsidae. It was described by Christian Frederik Lütken in 1852. It is a tropical, marine eel which is known from the western Atlantic Ocean, including Bermuda, southern Florida, USA; and Bahia, Brazil. It inhabits reefs, beds of seagrass, and sandy regions. Males can reach a maximum total length of 18 cm.

The Arctic alligatorfish is a fish in the family Agonidae. It was described by C.F. Lütken in 1877. It is a marine and brackish-water dwelling fish which is known from the Arctic, the northwestern Atlantic and northwestern and northeastern Pacific Ocean, including Canada, Greenland, Siberia, the Barents Sea, the White Sea, the Kara Sea, the Chukchi Sea, the Bering Sea, the Bering Strait, and the Anadyr Gulf. It dwells at a depth range of 7–520 metres, in salinities of 30-35 ppt, and leads a benthic lifestyle, inhabiting sand and mud bottoms. It mostly lives in temperatures below 0 °C, but on rare occasions has been found in temperatures of 2-3 °C. Males can reach a maximum total length of 8.6 centimetres.

Marie Dorethea Juliane (Julie) Lütken (1788–1816) was a Danish painter who specialized in landscapes. Unusually for her times when women were not admitted to the Academy, thanks to the private instruction she received from Claudius Mørch, Carl Frederik Vogt and above all Johan Ludwig Lund, she was able to exhibit at the Charlottenborg Spring Exhibition in 1815. She died in May 1816 when only 28 after jumping out of a carriage drawn by a horse which had run wild.

Hulda Dagny Lütken (1896–1946) was a Danish poet and novelist. The underlying theme in her nine poetry collections and five novels is the conflict between desire and moral purity. Her first novel, Degnens Hus, is based on her own experience of two very different parents. Initially writing rather traditional rhyming verse, Drømmen, published in 1940, was the first of more experimental works. In 1943, with her memoir Mennesket paa Lerfødder she embarked on a period of self-reflection questioning her gender identity.

Isorineloricaria villarsi is a species of catfish in the family Loricariidae. It is native to South America, where it is known only from Venezuela. The species reaches 32 cm in standard length and is believed to be a facultative air-breather.
