Victor James Santiago,Jr.,better known by his stage names N.O.R.E. and Noreaga,is an American rapper and broadcaster. Born and raised in Queens,New York,Santiago first rose to prominence as one half of the East Coast hip hop duo Capone-N-Noreaga (C-N-N),alongside fellow Queens-based rapper Capone. Bachaton combines bachata melodies and reggaeton style beats,lyrics,rapping,and disc jockeying. The word "bachatón" is a combination of "bachata" and "reggaeton". "Bachatón" was coined and widely accepted in 2005. It is a subgenre of reggaeton and bachata.

Alternative reggaeton is a subgenre of reggaeton that emerged from the reggaeton movement as a reaction to its repetitive and monotone dembow rhythm,and the predominant stereotypical gangsta content that became predictable. The result was a complex sound derived from world sounds,mainly rooted in other Latin American music based genres such as bomba,plena,salsa,bachata,merengue,cumbia,tango and other foreign influenced music such as alternative rock,rock en español and Latin alternative. Mixed with thoughtful lyricism guided by an anti-colonialism discourse,Latin American sociopolitical content,and racial pride,it gave listeners a smooth blend of danceable rhythms and intellectual dialogue.

The song was released as the album's lead single in October 2004 and became a hit in 2005,peaking inside the top 10 on some of the charts it entered. "Gasolina" was the first reggaeton song to be nominated for the Latin Grammy Award for Record of the Year.

Contrary of Don Omar's latest album,The Last Don II focuses on reggaeton,with exceptions including two hip hop tracks and one latin pop track. The songs themes includes dance,sex,love and human self-reflection. It was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award for Best Urban Music Album in the ceremony's 16th edition in 2015.

Both artists were born in Carolina,Puerto Rico,were the duo was originated in 2000. They were part of the reggaeton underground scene until 2004,year in which they released their first studio album,Motivando a la Yal,under White Lion Records. The production's success was later influenced by Daddy Yankee's Barrio Fino,which led reggaeton to mainstream audiences. Also the track "Ahora" featuring Angel Doze was included into the video game FIFA Football 2005 soundtrack.
The Big Boss World Tour was a concert tour by reggaeton singer Daddy Yankee to promote his album El Cartel:The Big Boss. This was his second arena tour in the United States and his first official world tour. The tour started in Agust 24,2007 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico and was expected to end on December 8,2007 in Cali's Estadio Pascual Guerrero. However,due to the success of his soundtrack Talento de Barrio,more dates were added and the tour extended to 2008.

As an umbrella term it includes a wide and diverse set of genres and styles such as dancehall,corridos tumbados,dembow,urban champeta,funk carioca,Latin hip hop and reggaeton. The commercial breakthrough of this music took place in 2017 with artists from Colombia,Cuba,the Dominican Republic,Panama,Puerto Rico,the United States,Venezuela and even non-Spanish-speaking nations,such as Brazil,where Portuguese is spoken.
