Parkland is an unincorporated community in the town of Parkland, Douglas County, Wisconsin, United States.

The community is located 8 miles (13 km) southeast of the city of Superior at the junction of County Roads E and Z. Nearby is the junction of Wisconsin Highway 13 and U.S. Highways 2 / 53 (co-signed).

The Canadian National Railway runs through the community. [2]

Education

The Superior School District serves the community, with the Lake Superior Elementary School being directly north of Parkland.

State Trunk Highway 27 is a state highway in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The highway spans a length of 294 miles (473 km) and is generally two-lane local road with the exception of urban multilane arterials within some cities. Earlier routing of the highway had it reaching Superior along the present US 53 and Fennimore along the present US 61 and following I-94 between Black River Falls and Osseo.

US Highway 2 (US 2) is a part of the United States Numbered Highway System that runs from Everett, Washington, to St. Ignace, Michigan. In Wisconsin, the highway enters runs east–west across the northwestern part of the state and re-enters the state in the northeast part. It runs from the Richard I. Bong Memorial Bridge over the Saint Louis Bay at Superior, where it enters from Minnesota, east to the Michigan state line near Hurley. Further east, US 2 re-enters Wisconsin from Michigan in Florence County and briefly traverses that county before re-entering Michigan. US 2 is a Wisconsin Corridors 2020 Connecting route east of its concurrency with US 53. The section concurrent with US 53 is a Wisconsin Corridors 2020 Backbone route.
