The Afghanistan men's national cricket team represents Afghanistan in international cricket. Cricket has been played in Afghanistan since the mid-19th century,but it was only in the early 21st century that the national team began to enjoy success. The Afghanistan Cricket Board was formed in 1995 and became an affiliate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2001 and a member of the cricket confederation,Asian Cricket Council (ACC) in 2003. After nearly a decade of playing international cricket,on 22 June 2017 full ICC Membership was granted to Afghanistan. Alongside Ireland,this took the number of Test cricket playing nations to twelve. Afghanistan is the first country to achieve Full Member status after holding Affiliate Membership of the ICC. Following this,the team moved to a new home ground in Dehradun,northern India. The current home ground of the Afghanistan Men's Cricket team is the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the UAE.
John Harry Hampshire,also known as Jack Hampshire,was an English cricketer and umpire,who played eight Tests and three One Day Internationals (ODIs) for England between 1969 and 1975. He played first-class cricket for Yorkshire from 1961 to 1981,and for Derbyshire from 1982 to 1984. Overseas,he was a successful captain of Tasmania in the period before the state was included in the Sheffield Shield. He was also appointed President of Yorkshire County Cricket Club in 2016,serving until his death a year later.
Alexander George Wharf is an English cricket umpire and former international cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-handed fast-medium bowler,who ended his career with the Welsh side Glamorgan County Cricket Club.
James Cullum Tredwell is an English former international cricketer. Michael John Lumb is a former South African-born English cricketer,who played for Yorkshire,Hampshire,and Nottinghamshire at county level and England in Twenty20 International cricket and One Day International cricket. Born and raised in South Africa,Lumb is a left-handed opening batsman and a right-arm medium pace bowler. He became only the second cricketer after Dennis Amiss to score a century on ODI debut for England and ninth player overall to do so. Lumb was a member of the England team that won the 2010 ICC World Twenty20.

Karumanaseri Narayanaiyer Ananthapadmanabhan is an Indian cricket umpire and former first-class cricketer from the state of Kerala. He played for the India "A" national team in international cricket and for South Zone and Kerala in Indian domestic cricket. He is a former captain of Kerala state Ranji Trophy team. He now serves as an umpire at the first-class level and officiates in all the major domestic cricket tournaments in India,including the Ranji Trophy and Indian Premier League. In August 2020,Ananthapadmanabhan was promoted to the International Panel of ICC Umpires.

He was a left-handed top order batsman and occasional right-arm medium pace bowler. He attended Worksop College and was a member of the college cricket XI for a number of years.

Danny Richard Briggs is an English cricketer who currently plays for Warwickshire County Cricket Club,previously playing for Hampshire County Cricket Club and Sussex County Cricket Club. Briggs is a right-handed batsman who bowls slow left-arm orthodox. He was born at Newport on the Isle of Wight and was educated on the island at Carisbrooke High School. Briggs is the first international player to be born on the Isle of Wight. Briggs made his debut for Hampshire County Cricket Club aged 18 in 2009,since his debut he has seen success in first-class and Twenty20 cricket. In 2011,he became the youngest English spin bowler to take 100 first-class wickets since Derek Underwood. He made his full international debut for England on 21 February 2012 against Pakistan in the fourth One Day International at the DSC Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
Thomas Kevin Curran,is an English cricketer who represents England in Test matches,One Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals. He plays for Surrey County Cricket Club in English domestic cricket. He is a right-arm fast-medium bowling all-rounder. He made his international debut for England in June 2017. He is the son of former Zimbabwe international cricketer Kevin Curran,and the brother of both Northamptonshire CCC batsman Ben Curran and England and Surrey all-rounder Sam Curran.
In 2013,Kent County Cricket Club competed in Division Two of the County Championship,Group A of the 40-over Yorkshire Bank 40 and the South Group of the Friends Life t20. Kent also hosted a first-class match at the St Lawrence Ground against Cardiff MCCU at the start of the season and a T20 match against the touring New Zealanders in June. It was the second season in charge for head coach Jimmy Adams. The club captain was England spinner James Tredwell,taking over from Rob Key who had been club captain since 2006. Brendan Nash registered as a Kolpak player,ending his West Indies international career,which allowed Kent to sign another overseas player. South African fast bowler Vernon Philander filled this role,although he was only with the club for a short spell in July. Another new addition to the squad was 22-year-old Calum Haggett from Somerset. Shortly before the end of the season,Kent signed two young fast bowlers:Charlie Hartley and Matt Hunn. In addition,Mitchell Claydon joined on loan from Durham on 11 June initially for one month,but this was extended for a second month.
