Polynoncus is a genus of beetles of the Family Trogidae. It contains the following species: [1] [2]
Anyphaenidae is a family of araneomorph spiders, sometimes called anyphaenid sac spiders. They are distinguished from the sac spiders of the family Clubionidae and other spiders by having the abdominal spiracle placed one third to one half of the way anterior to the spinnerets toward the epigastric furrow on the underside of the abdomen. In most spiders the spiracle is just anterior to the spinnerets.
Chusquea is a genus of evergreen bamboos in the grass family. Most of them are native to mountain habitats in Latin America, from Mexico to southern Chile and Argentina.
Omorgus is a genus of beetles of the family Trogidae with about 140 species worldwide. Omorgus beetles are generally between 9 and 20 mm long.
Association football is the most popular sport in almost all South American countries. There are a wide range of sports played in the continent of South America. Popular sports include rugby union, baseball, basketball, tennis, golf, volleyball, hockey, beach volleyball, motorsports and cricket. South America held its first Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2016. Two years prior to this, major cities in Brazil hosted the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Parandra is a genus in the longhorn beetle family Cerambycidae. There are more than 20 described species in Parandra.
Achryson is a genus in the longhorn beetle family Cerambycidae. There are about 17 described species in Achryson, found mainly in the Neotropics.
Coleoxestia is a genus of Long-Horned Beetles in the beetle family Cerambycidae. There are more than 50 described species in Coleoxestia, found mainly in Central and South America.
Criodion is a genus of Long-Horned Beetles in the beetle family Cerambycidae. There are about 11 described species in Criodion.
Oreodera is a genus of long-horned beetles in the family Cerambycidae. Oreodera is in the subfamily Lamiinae, the flat-faced longhorns. There are more than 100 described species in Oreodera, found in Central and South America.
Orchestina is a spider genus in the family Oonopidae, first described by Eugène Simon in 1882.
Coprini is a tribe of scarab beetles, in the dung beetle subfamily (Scarabaeinae). Scholtz et al. describe them as tunnellers that are shiny black, of moderate to large size and with a strongly convex shape. They also, however state that the grouping based on these characteristics has little phylogenetic validity, and the placement of several genera in this and related tribes is likely to change.
Anyphaenoides is a genus of anyphaenid sac spiders first described by Lucien Berland in 1913. It is a senior synonym of "Quechuella"
Metagonia is a genus of cellar spiders that was first described by Eugène Louis Simon in 1893.
Epicadus is a genus of crab spiders that was first described by Eugène Louis Simon in 1895. It is considered a senior synonym of Tobias.
Phoberus is a genus of hide beetle in the subfamily Troginae. It was initially a subgenus of Trox before taxonomists reorganized it into its own genus. The genus is monophyletic, with all species evolved from a single common ancestor. Most beetle species in the genus live in Africa.
