Pors Fotball is a Norwegian football club from Porsgrunn, currently playing in the 3. divisjon. Pors plays in blue jerseys, and their home ground is Pors Stadion. Notable former players include Jan Halvor Halvorsen and Erik Pedersen.
The club was founded on 25 May 1905 under the name Lyn, and changed its name to IF Pors in 1914 because the original name was already in use. The best performances of the team was in 1948–49 and 1970 when they played in the top division. The team has had unsuccessful bids for promotion to the top division in 1972, 1979, 1981 and 1983.
Concurrent with the 1994 name change the club entered into a still ongoing elite-level athletics partnership with the other and dominant Grenland football club, Odd Grenland. In February 2005 IF Pors retained other sports activities whereas Pors Grenland Fotball was siphoned off as a separate sports team, however still under the auspices of IF Pors. In December 2009, the financial cooperation between Pors Grenland and Odd Grenland was terminated.
Between 2004 and 2006 the team played in the 1. divisjon but then slipped down to the 2. divisjon where they played until the team was relegated to 3. divisjon in 2014. Pors have been playing in 3. divisjon since 2017.

Odds Ballklubb, commonly known as Odd, is a Norwegian professional football club from Skien. Originally the football section of a multi-sports club, founded in 1894 nine years after the club's founding. Most sports other than football and gymnastics were discontinued and the club became dedicated primarily to football. Odd plays in the Norwegian top division, Eliteserien, and holds the record of winning the Norwegian Football Cup the most times with twelve wins, the last coming in 2000. The club was known as Odd Grenland between 1994 and 2012. Founded in 1894, Odd is the oldest football club in Norway. As of 13 May 2017 the club was granted a membership in Club of Pioneers. It then became the first Nordic football club to be granted this membership.

The 1996 Tippeligaen was the 52nd completed season of top division football in Norway. Each team played 26 games with 3 points given for wins and 1 for draws. Number twelve, thirteen and fourteen are relegated. The winners of the two groups of the first division are promoted, as well as the winner of a play-off match between the two second placed teams in the two groups of the first division. This was the last time the first division was organized into two groups – from 1997 and onwards the first division has had all teams play in the same league.

Rosenborg became champions on October 29, with one round to go, by defeating Viking at home. The other main contenders for the title were Brann and Lillestrøm, the former securing their place as runners-up on the same day.

Larvik Fotball was a Norwegian association football club from Larvik. It existed from late 1999 to early 2004, and both succeeded and was succeeded by IF Fram. A cooperation between several Larvik-based clubs, it experienced two straight promotions to the Norwegian Second Division and played there for the rest of its existence. It ultimately capsized due to bad economy. Notably, the club never managed to form a cooperation with city rivals Larvik Turn.

Erik Midtgarden is a Norwegian footballer and player-coach who plays as a midfielder for Åssiden. He has previously played for Tippeligaen sides Odd Grenland, Lillestrøm, Hønefoss and Mjøndalen and won the Meistriliiga with Flora Tallinn in 2011. Midtgarden has also spent time with the First Division sides Pors Grenland, Notodden and Mjøndalen. He has represented Norway at under-17, under-18 and under-21 level.

Mjøndalen IF Fotball – commonly known as Mjøndalen IF, and Mjøndar'n or MIF – is the football department of Mjøndalen IF. Founded in 1910, the club is located in Mjøndalen, Viken, Norway. The team plays its home matches in the 4,350-capacity Consto Arena. Mjøndalen competes in Obos Ligaen, the second tier in the Norwegian football league system having been relegated from the Eliteserien at the end of the 2021 season.
