The Porsche Sprint Challenge Middle East was the Middle East motor racing series based on the famous Porsche 911 GT3 Cup launched in 2009.

Contents

Due to summer temperatures in the Middle East, the races are held in the winter to have regular temperatures for cars, tires, teams and drivers.

Each season starts at the end of a year (in November) and finishes (in March) the next year.

For the 2023–24 season it was replaced with Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East. [1]

Porsche Carrera Cup Australia is an Australian motor racing series open to Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars. First held in 2003, it is administered by Porsche Cars Australia Pty Ltd and is sanctioned by Motorsport Australia as a national championship through to 2015 and as a National Series from 2016-2021. Starting in 2022 the category returned back as a national championship. During its history, Carrera Cup has been a leading support category for the Supercars Championship. Lechner Racing, formerly known as Walter Lechner Racing is an auto racing team based in Austria. It is also known as the Lechner Racing School. Lechner Racing has established the Porsche Sprint Challenge Middle East and organizes the series as a subcontractor of Porsche AG.

The 2022 Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia is the eighteenth running of the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia motor racing series. It began at Albert Park Circuit on April 7 and it will end at Surfers Paradise Street Circuit on October 30. This series will mark the first since 2015 that Porsche Carrera Cup Australia is to be held as a national championship. This year's series will also mark the introduction of the Porsche 911 (992) GT3 Cup for use by all teams in the category.
