The Porsche Sprint Challenge Middle East was the Middle East motor racing series based on the famous Porsche 911 GT3 Cup launched in 2009.
Due to summer temperatures in the Middle East, the races are held in the winter to have regular temperatures for cars, tires, teams and drivers.
Each season starts at the end of a year (in November) and finishes (in March) the next year.
For the 2023–24 season it was replaced with Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East. [1]

Porsche Carrera Cup is a number of one-make racing by Porsche premier series competed with, initially Porsche 911 Carrera Cup, then later Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars. The cars are specifically built by Porsche for one-make racing, but are visually and mechanically quite similar to road-registrable 911s of the same generation.
Porsche Carrera Cup Australia is an Australian motor racing series open to Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars. First held in 2003, it is administered by Porsche Cars Australia Pty Ltd and is sanctioned by Motorsport Australia as a national championship through to 2015 and as a National Series from 2016-2021. Starting in 2022 the category returned back as a national championship. During its history, Carrera Cup has been a leading support category for the Supercars Championship. New Zealand driver Craig Baird has been the most successful driver, winning the series five times.
Lechner Racing, formerly known as Walter Lechner Racing is an auto racing team based in Austria. It is also known as the Lechner Racing School. Lechner Racing has established the Porsche Sprint Challenge Middle East and organizes the series as a subcontractor of Porsche AG.

It started on March 18 with a Sprint race in Curitiba and finished on December 2 with an Endurance race in São Paulo. It was first held in 2005 and follows the same formula basis used in the Porsche Supercup and Porsche Carrera Cup championships held around the world.

This series will mark the first since 2015 that Porsche Carrera Cup Australia is to be held as a national championship. This year's series will also mark the introduction of the Porsche 911 (992) GT3 Cup for use by all teams in the category.
