The 2023 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia was the twentieth season of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia. The season commenced on 28 April at Sepang International Circuit and concluded on 22 October at the Shanghai International Circuit. [1] [2]
The overall championship was won by Porsche Supercup veteran Florian Latorre, with three-time series champion Chris van der Drift finishing as runner-up ahead of Luo Kailuo, who claimed five race victories over the course of the season. Chinese driver Bao Jinlong claimed his fourth championship in the Pro-Am class, with Yang Ruoyu becoming Am class champion. [3]

Sepang International Circuit, is a motorsport race track in Sepang, Selangor, Malaysia. It is located approximately 45-kilometre (28 mi) south of Kuala Lumpur, and close to Kuala Lumpur International Airport. It hosted the Formula One Malaysian Grand Prix between 1999 and 2017, and is also the venue for the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix, the Malaysia Merdeka Endurance Race and other major motorsport events. Previously known as the Sepang F1 Circuit, it was renamed to the Sepang International Circuit. On 31 October 2023, it was announced that Petronas has acquired the naming rights to the circuit for three years in an undisclosed fee.
The Bahrain International Circuit is a 5.412 km (3.363 mi) motorsport venue opened in 2004 and used for drag racing, GP2 Series, and the annual Formula One Bahrain Grand Prix. The 2004 Grand Prix was the first held in the Middle East. Beginning in 2006, Australian V8 Supercars raced at the BIC, with the event known as the Desert 400. However, the V8 Supercars did not return for the 2011 V8 Supercar season. 24 Hour endurance races are also hosted at BIC. The circuit has a FIA Grade 1 license. The circuit also has multiple layouts.

First held in 2003, it is administered by Porsche Cars Australia Pty Ltd and is sanctioned by Motorsport Australia as a national championship through to 2015 and as a National Series from 2016-2021. The championship featured a mix of professional motor racing teams and privately funded drivers, competing in Porsche 911 GT3 cars that conformed to the technical regulations for the championship. It was a multi class championship, with drivers grouped based on their ability and experience into three classes: Professional, Professional-Amateur 1 and Professional-Amateur 2. It formed part of the extensive program of support categories built up around the BTCC centrepiece. The 2014 season was the twelfth Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain season, commencing on 30 March at Brands Hatch – on the circuit's Indy configuration – and concluded on 12 October at the same venue, utilising the Grand Prix circuit, after 19 races at 10 meetings. 18 of the races were held in support of the 2014 British Touring Car Championship season, with the other race in support of the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Dorian Boccolacci is a French racing driver who currently drives in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup. A Porsche stalwart for over a decade, he is an Australian Formula 3 champion, a Porsche Carrera Cup GB runner-up, a four-time Bathurst 12 Hour class winner and a Dubai 24 Hour overall winner. Despite limited success in the FIA World Endurance Championship, Barker is considered one of the strongest GTE Am drivers, having broken the lap record for the category at the 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Loek Hartog is a Dutch racing driver competing in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup and the Porsche Carrera Cup North America.
Bastian Buus is a Danish racing driver currently competing in the 2023-24 Asian Le Mans Series for Earl Bamber Motorsport. He is a part of the Porsche Junior Program. He also is a Team Danmark athlete. Buus is the 2023 Porsche Supercup champion.
