Pseudohaloritoidea, formerly Pseudohaloritaceae, is one of four superfamilies of the goniatitid suborderTornoceratatina. Although attributed the Ruzhencev, 1957 (Ruzhencev named the Pseudohaloritidae, March 1957, eight months ahead of Miller and Furnish) T.J Frest et al. included the Maximitidae and Pseudohaloritidae in the Cheilocerataceae in their May 1981 paper.
David James Furnish is a Canadian-British filmmaker and former advertising executive. He is the husband of English singer, pianist and composer Sir Elton John.
The W50 was an American thermonuclear warhead deployed on the MGM-31 Pershing theater ballistic missile. Initially developed for the LIM-49 Nike Zeus anti-ballistic missile, this application was cancelled before deployment. The W50 was developed by Los Alamos National Laboratory. The W50 was manufactured from 1963 through 1965, with a total of 280 being produced. They were retired from service starting in 1973 with the last units retired in 1991.
The W33 was an American nuclear artillery shell designed for use in the 8-inch (203 mm) M110 howitzer and M115 howitzer.
The Czechoslovak First Ice Hockey League was the elite ice hockey league in Czechoslovakia from 1936 until 1993, when the country split into the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The Slovak Extraliga and Czech Extraliga formed from the split.
The Ligai Olii Tojikiston or Tajikistan Higher League is the top division of professional football in Tajikistan. It is part of the Tajikistan Football League Organization and Tajikistan Football Federation.
Aldanites is an extinct cephalopod genus belonging to the ammonoid order Goniatitida.
Beyrichoceras is a genus belonging to the goniatitid family Maxigoniatitidae that lived during the Mississippian Period
Yinoceras is a genus of middle Permian goniatitid ammonite, the type genus for the subfamily Yinoceratinae of the family Pseudohaloritidae.
Uraloceras is an ammonoid cephalopod genus belonging to the goniatitid family Paragastrioceratidae. The genus was named by Ruzhencev 1936 and is a jr. synonym of Pseudogastrioceras Spath 1930 according to Miller, Furnish and Schindeworlf, 1957. More recent classifications however list the two as distinct genera and put Uraloceras in the Paragastrioceratinae and Pseudogastrioceras in the Pseudogastrioceratinae.
Pseudohaloritidae is the larger of two families that form the goniatitid superfamily Pseudohaloritoidea, the other being the monogenerc Maximitidae. They are part of the vast array of shelled cephalopods known as ammonoids that are more closely related to squids, belemnites, octopuses, and cuttlefish, than to the superficially similar Nautilus.
Todd Joseph Miller is an American comedian, actor, producer, and screenwriter. He played Erlich Bachman in the HBO sitcom Silicon Valley (2014–2017) and the Marvel Comics character Weasel in the superhero comedy film Deadpool (2016) and its 2018 sequel.
Medlicottiidae is a family of ammonoid cephalopods belonging to the Prolecanitida, known from the Upper Carboniferous (Pennsylvanian) to the Early Triassic.
Agoniatitida, also known as the Anarcestida, is the ancestral order within the cephalopod subclass Ammonoidea originating from bactritoid nautiloids, that lived in what would become Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and North America during the Devonian from about the lower boundary of Zlichovian stage into Taghanic event during upper middle Givetian, existing for approximately 25 million years.
The Vermont Catamounts men's basketball team is the men's basketball team that represents the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont. The school's team currently competes in the America East Conference and plays its home games at Patrick Gym. The team has reached the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament ten times, in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2010, 2012, 2017, 2019, 2022, 2023, and 2024. UVM famously upset Syracuse University in the first round of the 2005 tournament. The Catamounts are coached by John Becker.
Clymeniida is an order of ammonoid cephalopods from the Upper Devonian characterized by having an unusual dorsal siphuncle. They measured about 4 cm (1.6 in) in diameter and are most common in Europe, North Africa, and South China but are known from North America and Australia as well.
Neoaganides is a small, 1–2 cm diameter subdiscoidal to subglobular goniatitid belonging to the family Pseudohaloritidae that lived from the Late Pennsylvanian to the Late Permian, existing for some 56 million years.
Sosioceras is an Upper Permian shouchangoceratin pseudohaloritid characterized by a subdiscoidal shell, about 2 cm in diameter, marked by growth lines, as with Neoaganides, and having a mature peristome with a double constriction near the periphery. The suture also closely resembles that of Neoaganides.
Shouchangoceras is a genus of goniatitid pseudohaloritid ammonoids and is the type genus for the pseudohaloritid subfamily Shouchangoceratinae. The genus is characterized by a compressed shell as much as 5 cm in diameter, with a strongly constricted mature peristome that has shallow dorsolateral sinus, a moderately deep rounded ventral sinus, but without conspicuous lappets, and ornamented by moderately strong transverse ribs and numerous stronger longitudinal lirae, producing a weakly reticulate pattern. Lobes are attenuate. The siphuncle is within the dorsal septal flecture.
Episageceratinae is a subfamily of the Medlicottiidae, a family of prolecanitid ammonites. The Episageceratinae, proposed by Ruzhencev, 1956, is based on the genus Episageceras previously included in the subfamily Medlicottiinae and lived during Late Permian and Early Triassic times. So far only three confirmed genera are included: Episageceras, Latisageceras, and Nodosageceras.
The western pearlshell is a species of freshwater bivalve, a pearl mussel, a bivalve mollusk in the family Margaritiferidae. This species can be found only in the United States and Canada, where it occurs mostly west of the Rocky Mountains.
