His lyrics on N.W.A's 1988 album Straight Outta Compton contributed to gangsta rap's widespread popularity. His solo albums of 1990 and 1991 consist of political rap. In 1991 and 1995, entering film, he starred in Boyz n the Hood and cocreated Friday.
The Future Sound of London is a British electronic music group composed of Garry Cobain and Brian Dougans. Described as a "boundary-pushing" electronic act by AllMusic, their work covers many areas of electronic music, such as techno, ambient, house music, trip hop, psychedelia, and dub.
100 Miles and Runnin' is the only EP from the American gangsta rap group N.W.A since its national debut in 1988. Released on August 14, 1990, this EP of five tracks reflects an evolution of N.W.A's sound, more layered than previously, and centers on the single "100 Miles and Runnin'."

Accelerator is the debut studio album by British electronica group The Future Sound of London. The album was first released in 1991 by the record label Jumpin' & Pumpin'. It is widely regarded as the group's most "club-oriented" album in that almost all the tracks have a sonic, dance-friendly vibe and it does not contain much of their later, more off-beat, complex, ambient techniques.

The duo had been releasing songs under these aliases for around two years before they recorded "Accelerator" as FSOL.
The "Principles of Motion EP" was a release by Future Sound of London under the alias Intelligent Communication; it featured four tracks indicative of the musical period for dance music and was generally well received in DJ circles.
"Q" is a single released in 1990/1991 by Mental Cube. It is a widely respected dance classic among DJs and has a distinctive bleeping, electronica feel reminiscent of work by Orbital.
Stakker Humanoid is an 1988 track by Humanoid released in 1988 on the London-based label Westside Records. It has been described by The Guardian as "the first truly credible UK acid techno record to break into the mainstream."
By Any Other Name is a Future Sound of London compilation release in the same vein as 1992's Earthbeat. The tracks are by Dougans and Cobain and the aliases are the same. This 2007 album, however, has a wealth of new material from the same time period as Earthbeat. The Mental Cube track "Sightings" can be heard in the very first episode of "The Day Today" in a skit with Chris Morris reporting on a new police measure to deal with noisy neighours in which a tiger is set loose in the offending persons home in which the track can be heard. A CD version of the album was released on 13 October 2008.
The Pulse EPs is a compilation of the four Pulse EPs released in 1991 & 1992 by The Future Sound of London under various aliases in the same vein as the Earthbeat album from 1992.
So This Is Love is a soulful house track by FSOL under the moniker Mental Cube. Recorded in 1991, it was also featured on the Earthbeat compilation album of the following year.
The Pulse EP is an EP released by The Future Sound of London partly under the alias Indo Tribe, two tracks under that name, and the other two are FSOL tracks. One FSOL track is from their first album Accelerator and one of the Indo Tribe tracks is from the 1992 compilation album Earthbeat.
Pulse 2 EP is an EP released by The Future Sound of London partly under the alias' Indo Tribe, Smart Systems and FSOL. The FSOL tracks "Stolen Documents" and "In 8" would later be put on the Accelerator album with "In 8" becoming "1 in 8".
The "Pulse 3 EP" is an EP release by The Future Sound of London under the alias 'Indo Tribe, Smart Systems and Yage'. The tracks are all techno in form and have a few odd samples such as an owl cooing on "Owl". "The Tingler, "Owl" and "Bite The Bullet Baby" feature on the Earthbeat compilation and "Calcium" is from Accelerator.
