Quratulain Balouch (Urdu : قرۃ العین بلوچ) is a Pakistani American singer-songwriter. [1] [2] Also known as QB or the Humsafar Girl, she became popular for her title track "Woh Humsafar Tha" in Hum TV's serial Humsafar . [3]
Balouch has no formal music education. She grew up listening to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Muhammad Juman, Pathanay Khan and others. [4]
Her singing career started with her cover of Reshma's "Ankhian Nu Ren De" in 2011. She came into the limelight when she featured alongside Jal in the song "Panchi" as part of season 4 of Coke Studio. [5] [6] She rose to fame after her award-winning performance of "Woh Humsafar Tha" for 2011 drama serial Humsafar . [7]
In 2012, she represented her country in a live performance with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. [8] [4] In 2016, she made her debut in Bollywood with song "Kaari Kaari" in film Pink . [9]

Noori (transl. Light) is a Pakistani rock band from Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan, formed in 1996. The group was formed by songwriter, lead vocalist, and guitarist, Ali Noor, along with his younger brother Ali Hamza, who were soon joined by bassist Muhammad Ali Jafri and drummer Salman Albert. Since the inception of the band, there has been many changes in the line-up; the only consistent members being brothers, Ali Noor and Ali Hamza. The band has produced songs such as "Suno Ke Mein Hoon Jawaan" and the epic "Manwa Re".
Humsafar is a 2011 Pakistani drama telenovel based on the novel of the same name by Farhat Ishtiaq and directed by Sarmad Sultan Khoosat. It stars Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Naveen Waqar in lead roles and Atiqa Odho, Hina Khawaja Bayat, Behroze Sabzwari and Noor Hassan Rizvi in supporting roles. The tenth season of the Pakistani music television series Coke Studio Pakistan premiered on 11 August 2017, and ended on 21 September 2017. Strings and The Coca-Cola Company emceed the show as executive producers, while the show returned with the previous year's format of music directors leading and producing their own songs under Strings' supervision, despite the decision of not adopting this format for next year.

She rose to fame from her songs in Lahore Se Aagey (2016), after which she gained popularity through many other soundtracks and her appearance in Coke Studio. She was awarded Tamgha-e-Fakhre-Imtiaz in August 2019.
The twelfth season of the Pakistani music television series Coke Studio Pakistan commenced airing on 11 October 2019, and concluded on 29 November 2019. The season was produced by Rohail Hyatt, after Ali Hamza and Zohaib Kazi stepped down from the role after just one season. Coca-Cola Pakistan remained as an executive producer.
