JoséAbad Santos y Basco was the fifth chief justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines. He briefly served as the acting president of the Commonwealth of the Philippines and acting commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines during World War II,on behalf of President Quezon after the government went in exile to the United States. After about two months,he was executed by the Japanese forces for refusing to cooperate during their occupation of the country.
The North Luzon Expressway (NLEX),signed as E1 of the Philippine expressway network,partially as N160 of the Philippine highway network,and R-8 of the Metro Manila arterial road network,is a limited-access toll expressway that connects Metro Manila to the provinces of the Central Luzon region in the Philippines. The expressway,which includes the main segment and its various spurs,has a total length of 101.8 kilometers (63.3 mi) and travels from its northern terminus at Sta. Ines Interchange to its southern terminus in Balintawak Interchange,which is adjacent to its connection to Skyway,an elevated toll road that connects the NLEX to its counterpart in the south,the South Luzon Expressway. The segment of the expressway between Santa Rita Exit in Guiguinto and the Balintawak Interchange in Quezon City is part of Asian Highway 26 of the Asian highway network.

The Cavite–Laguna Expressway,signed as E3 of the Philippine expressway network,is a partially operational controlled-access toll expressway in the provinces of Cavite and Laguna,Philippines. The construction of the 44.63-kilometer-long (27.73 mi) expressway,which began in July 2019,costs an estimated ₱35.43 billion. Once completed,it will connect the Manila–Cavite Expressway in Kawit to the South Luzon Expressway in Biñan and is expected to ease the traffic congestion in the Cavite–Laguna area,particularly along the Aguinaldo Highway,Governor's Drive,and the Santa Rosa–Tagaytay Road.

Daang Hari,also known as the Las Piñas–Muntinlupa–Laguna–Cavite Link Road,is a collector road that links southern Metro Manila to the province of Cavite in the Philippines. It begins as a north–south road from Commerce Avenue,just south of the Alabang–Zapote Road running for 5.9 kilometers (3.7 mi) on the boundary of Las Piñas and Muntinlupa. It then runs east–west for about 9.2 kilometers (5.7 mi) from its junction with Daang Reyna,winding through the cities of Bacoor,Imus,Dasmariñas,and General Trias.

Macapagal Bridge is a steel cable-stayed bridge along Mayor Democrito D. Plaza II Avenue in Butuan,Agusan del Norte that crosses the Agusan River. It has a length of 908 m (2,979 ft),making it the longest bridge in Mindanao,and the third-longest cable-stayed bridge in the Philippines after the Marcelo Fernan Bridge and Cebu-Cordova Bridge.
