Rakhshan Division is an administrative division of Balochistan Province, Pakistan. [1] [2]

In 2015, the Balochistan Assembly unanimously passed a resolution calling upon the provincial government to establish a new division comprising the districts of Nushki, Chagai, Kharan and Washuk, which were parts of Quetta and Kalat. District KHARAN is the Divisional Headquarter of Rakhshan Division. 500 acres of state land has also been allotted for Rakhshan Division at Kharan. And area is situated within the limits of Kharan Town.[ citation needed ]

Rakhshan division has been notified as Division on 17 May 2017. One the same day another notification has also been issued separately of Tehsil Sar Kharan's Upgradation into Sub Division Sar Kharan with headquarter at Miskan-e-Kalat, District Kharan.[ citation needed ]

Prehistoric Balochistan dates to the Paleolithic.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Khanate of Kalat</span> 1512–1955 princely state in Balochistan

The Khanate of Kalat was a Baloch Khanate that existed from 1512 to 1955 in the centre of the modern-day province of Balochistan, Pakistan. Its rulers were Brahui speakers. Prior to that they were subjects of Mughal King Akbar. Mehrab Khan II Ahmedzai ruled the state independently until 1839, when he was killed by the British and Kalat became a self-governing state in a subsidiary alliance with British India. After the signature of the Treaty of Kalat by the Khan of Kalat and the Baloch Sardars in 1875, the supervision of Kalat was the task of the Baluchistan Agency. Kalat was briefly independent again from 12 August 1947 until 27 March 1948, when its ruler Ahmad Yar Khan acceded to Pakistan, making it one of the Princely states of Pakistan.

NA-260 (Quetta-cum-Chagai-cum-Mastung) was a constituency for the National Assembly of Pakistan. The constituency was replaced by NA-267 and NA-268 (Chagai-cum-Nushki-cum-Kharan). The areas from Mastung District became part of NA-267 and the areas from Chagai District became part of NA-268 (Chagai-cum-Nushki-cum-Kharan).

NA-271 (Kharan-cum-Panjgur) was a constituency for the National Assembly of Pakistan. It discontinued in 2018 and was replaced by NA-268 (Chagai-cum-Nushki-cum-Kharan) and NA-270 (Panjgur-cum-Washuk-cum-Awaran). NA-271 areas from Kharan District were added to NA-268 while areas from Panjgur District were added to NA-270. Both of these constituencies were created in 2018.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Mullazai tribe</span> Tribe

Mullazai (ملازئی) is a Baloch tribe found in Panjgur District (پنجگور) of Balochistan, Pakistan and Tank District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. They are known as 'Mullas' and are descendants of Mir Mulla Shehsawar, who they claim to have migrated from Iran Sarbaz in 1513AD. The Mullazai tribe numbers in Panjgur are about 200 families or about 5000 persons. Other tribes associated with the Mullazai settled in Panjgur, Mastung, Sorab, Kalat, Kharan, Quetta, Kucklak, Nushki, Dalbandin, Qandahar and Iran.

NA-260 (Chagai-cum-Nushki-cum-Kharan-cum-Washuk) is a constituency for the National Assembly of Pakistan. It comprises the districts of Chagai, Nushki and Kharan from the province of Balochistan. It was created in 2018 out of two former constituencies namely NA-268 (Chagai-cum-Nushki-cum-Kharan)
NA-270 (Panjgur-cum-Washuk-cum-Awaran)by taking out areas of Chagai and Kharan districts respectively and merging with areas of Nushki District and Washuk Districts to create this constituency.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">NA-259 (Panjgur-cum-Kech)</span>

NA-259 (Panjgur-cum-Kech) is a constituency for the National Assembly of Pakistan. It comprises the districts of Panjgur, and Kech from the province of Balochistan. It was created in 2022 by taking parts of Panjgur District and Kech District from NA-270 (Panjgur-cum-Washuk-cum-Awaran) and NA-271 (Kech) respectively.
