Lakas–Christian Muslim Democrats,abbreviated as Lakas–CMD and popularly known as Lakas,was a political party in the Philippines. Its ideology and that of its successor is heavily influenced by Christian and Islamic democracy. The party's influence on Philippine society is very strong,especially after the People Power Revolution,which has led the country to elect two presidents from the party,namely Fidel V. Ramos,a United Methodist,and Gloria Macapagal Arroyo,a Roman Catholic.

K4 won seven seats,while the KNP won the remaining five contested seats.

Estrada's Partido ng Masang Pilipino,along with minor and regional parties. Estrada's running mate,Senator Edgardo Angara lost to fellow Senator Gloria Macapagal Arroyo of Lakas—NUCD—UMDP. Estrada won the presidency against then-Speaker of the House Jose C. de Venecia Jr. with a plurality margin of 6.4 million votes.

The United Nationalist Democratic Organization (UNIDO) was the main political multi-party electoral alliance of the traditional political opposition during the turbulent last years of Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos in the mid-1980s. It was formed in January 1980,and was originally known as the United Democratic Opposition from 1980 to 1982. It was initially a union of eight major and minor political parties and organizations with the main aim to oust President Marcos through a legal political process. Ramon Delaraga Bagatsing Sr. was a Filipino politician. He was the only Filipino of Indian ancestry and person with disability who served as 19th Mayor of the City of Manila from 1971 to 1986. Bagatsing held the unique distinction of being the only person to survive both the Bataan Death March and the Plaza Miranda bombing in 1971. He was the military hero for the Liberation of Manila during the Second World War.

His running mate,the incumbent vice mayor Maria Sheilah "Honey" Lacuna-Pangan,once again topped the vice mayoral race,securing her to serve her second three-year term as the city's vice mayor.
Local elections were held at Manila on May 9,2022,as part of the Philippine general election. Held concurrently with the national elections,the electorate voted to elect a mayor,a vice mayor,thirty-six city council members and six district representatives to congress. Those elected took their respective offices on June 30,2022,for a three-year-long term. 886,133 of 1,133,042 registered voters voted in this election.
