RedOne Records is an international record label founded by Moroccan-Swedish record producer RedOne in 2014. He is the label's main producer. In 2010, RedOne had established 2101 Records. Previously an imprint under Republic Records, RedOne distributes music under Capitol Music Group.
2101 Records was founded in 2010 by record producer RedOne, as a joint venture with Universal Music Group. [1] On 1 August 2010, RedOne and 2101 Records signed a deal for distribution via Cash Money Records, new home for Mohombi, [2] whereas artist DJ Havana Brown and Dive Bella Dive were distributed via Island Records. [3] Priyanka Chopra, Zander Bleck are distributed via Interscope Records [4] [5] and 7Lions and Porcelain Black are distributed independently.
In February 2013, Ray De La Garza, formerly vice president of programming at Radio Disney, was appointed the new general manager of 2101 Records.
On May 1, 2013 the label announced that it had signed a distribution deal with Universal Music Group's Capitol Records. [6]
Disc jockey turned pop sensation, Havana Brown, won 2101 Records their first platinum single with "We Run The Night". [7] Additionally, Brown gained a number-one dance hit in the United States with "Big Banana". [8] Also releasing dance-pop tracks through the label, Porcelain Black, gained commercial success in American nightclubs with the top ten hit, "Naughty Naughty" [9] and a top forty hit with "This Is What Rock n' Roll Looks Like", [9] the latter gaining significant buzz for the singer and label. [10] [11] [12] Mohombi, who was the first artist signed to the label, gained a number-one hit across 14 countries with "Bumpy Ride". [7] The record reached double platinum in Sweden [13] and gold in Denmark, [14] making the labels first certifications in those countries. Although never releasing a full-length album since its inception, the label has released an EP and remix album; When the Lights Go Out (released through 2102 Records and Island) and an extended play maxi containing various remixes of "Naughty Naughty" by Porcelain Black. [15] In 2012, RedOne worked with Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra on her debut single, "In My City". The single which features will.i.am made its debut on Thursday Night Football on the NFL Network. Interscope Records is an American record label based in Santa Monica, California, owned by Universal Music Group through its Interscope Geffen A&M imprint. It was released as his debut single in the United States on 24 August 2010. Written by RedOne, Bilal "The Chef" Hajji, AJ Junior, and Mohombi, and produced by RedOne, it is the first release on RedOne's label 2101 Records, a joint venture with Universal Music. He also released a popular bilingual French/English version for the Francophone markets. The song became a number-one hit in The Netherlands, and a top ten hit in Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, and Sweden.
Mohombi Nzasi Moupondo is a Congolese-Swedish musician, singer, composer and dancer. He grew up in Norsborg and Kista near Stockholm. Mohombi was RedOne's first signing to 2101 Records in joint venture with Universal Music Group. From 2000 to 2008, Mohombi was part of the Swedish hip hop group Avalon with his brother Djo Moupondo. Mohombi released his debut solo single "Bumpy Ride" in August 2010. The single became a worldwide hit, and charted in the top-ten in several countries, and was followed by his debut studio album MoveMeant in February 2011.

Alaina Marie Beaton, known professionally as Porcelain Black, is an American singer-songwriter and rapper. At age 16, she embarked on her music career as a solo act under the name Porcelain and the Tramps with Virgin Records. However, Black and Virgin could not agree on the music she would record. Her music was posted to her Myspace account, "rockcitynosebleed", where she gained millions of hits. After three years of trying to get out of the contract, she signed with RedOne's Universal Republic imprint, 2101 Records, late in 2009, and began working on her debut album. After many internal problems between the artist and record producer RedOne, Porcelain Black announced the partnership had come to an end, with anticipation of releasing her debut album in the vein of her Porcelain and the Tramps project in 2015.
"Suave (Kiss Me)" is a song by American singer Nayer featuring Swedish-Congolese singer-songwriter Mohombi and American rapper Pitbull. It was released on August 2, 2011 by Mr. 305 and 2101 Records (Universal Music). Produced by RedOne and Jimmy Joker, the song interpolates elements from the 1998 Elvis Crespo song "Suavemente". It follows Pitbull's Billboard Hot 100 number-one single,"Give Me Everything" which featured additional vocals by Nayer. The song has charted at number 34 on the Canadian Hot 100.

The label was founded in 2004 by record producer Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith, who is the chief executive officer. The song was produced by RedOne, Rush and Brian Kennedy, and was co-written by Ester Dean, who provides additional vocals. The demo version of "In My City" was first played by will.i.am to Chopra, who was impressed with the track and decided to record it. The song is a homage to Chopra's nomadic childhood and journey from being a small-town girl to being a successful actor. "In My City" premiered on 13 September 2012, at the NFL Network's Thursday Night Football. The next day, the song was released for digital downloads to Nokia Music Store along with CD single.

He has written or co-written many charting hits on the music charts in many International countries. His early success came through co-writing songs for Alexandra Burke, Lady Gaga, Sean Kingston, Kat DeLuna and Swedish acts Darin Zanyar and Mohombi.
