Reflections is the debut studio album by British singer and visual artist Hannah Diamond. It was released on 22 November 2019 via PC Music.
Reflections initially was intended to be released as an EP in late 2016 with its lead single being "Fade Away", which was released on 7 October 2016. Following the announcement of the EP, Diamond released "Make Believe" on 23 December 2016. She continued to hint at new music throughout 2017 and 2018, telling fans via social media that new music would be imminent. [6] [7]
A mix titled Soon I Won't See You at All was released on 13 December 2017, produced entirely by A.G. Cook and featured three songs which would also be featured on Reflections. The three tracks were "Never Again", "Concrete Angel" (a cover of a song by Gareth Emery) and "The Ending". [8]
"True" was released as the official lead single from the album on 16 November 2018. It was released alongside a lyric video featuring a typeface Diamond made herself. The track received attention for its more emotional sound; regarded by Matt Moen of Paper Magazine as "weaving sentimentality and emotion through a landscape of digital disconnect and jaded apathy". In press releases, it was stated that Reflections would be released in early 2019, however this did not come to fruition. [3]
"Invisible" was released as the album's second single on 30 October 2019, alongside a music video directed by Daniel Swan & Hannah Diamond. On the same day, it was announced that Reflections would be released on 22 November 2019, and the cover art for the album was also revealed. [9] On the following day, her first headlining tour "The Invisible Tour" was announced in support of the album. It began on 4 December 2019.
"Love Goes On" was released as the album's third single on 13 November 2019, alongside a music video directed by Vasilisa Forbes. [10]
The tracklist of Reflections was revealed via Diamond's social media on 21 November 2019. [11]
Vinyl versions of the album were announced in November 2019 for later release, and was later announced in January 2020 that they were up for pre-order and would be released in sometime in 2020. On 22 April 2020, Diamond released an EP of remixes of songs from the album. [12]
Reflections is a pop, [3] trance, [4] and bubblegum pop [5] record, with elements of breakcore, happy hardcore, [13] Eurodance, [5] synthwave, [14] electro house, [15] and techno. [16] The album explores themes of heartbreak and human emotions, in contrast to the robotic aesthetic crafted by Diamond early on in her career. [5] It was described by one critic as a "breakup album". [4] The album's sound has been compared to the works of Charli XCX, [14] Sarah Bonito, [14] Caroline Polachek, [4] Imogen Heap, [15] and Porter Robinson. [15]
The Invisible Tour is the first headlining tour by Hannah Diamond in support of her debut album Reflections. On 31 October 2019, She announced second show in London, followed by the one in Paris and Berlin the following day. Due to high demand, she added the first London show on 4 November. On 13 November, she announced that the opening act for the London shows will be Namasenda, and on 9 December that the opening acts for Paris and Berlin were Planet 1999 and Mechatok. On 28 November, she announced the second leg of her tour. All shows for the first leg were sold out. During January 2020, she announced that she would appear at Journey Fest in Copenhagen, Melt Festival in Ferropolis and Primavera Sound Barcelona. On 6 February 2020, the opening acts for the second leg were announced and her Glasgow show sold out on the same day. On 26 February, she revealed that the second leg had sold out. On 30 March 2020, Diamond put an announcement on her website that because of the COVID-19 pandemic, she has had to cancel some upcoming performances and festival appearances.
The tour began in London on 4 December 2019, and finished in London on 13 March 2020. The tour visited five countries in Europe and contained 11 shows.

Reflections received generally positive reviews from music critics. At Metacritic, which assigns a normalised rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream publications, the album received an average score of 79, indicating 'generally favorable reviews'. [17] Katherine St. Asaph of Pitchfork criticized Diamond's vocals and songwriting as "affectless" and the album's sound as being behind the times in comparison to the more forward-thinking music of her peers at PC Music. However, St. Asaph did praise the cover of "Concrete Angel" as "exhilarating" and saying "more happens in these four minutes than the rest of the album combined". [13] In contrast, Hannah Mylrea of NME called Diamond's lyrics "brilliantly straightforward" and commended A. G. Cook's production, though criticized the album's slower songs like the title track. [5] Valarie Magan of Clash called "Love Goes On" "an outstanding track, the depth of its rich, almost robotic sonic landscape standing in sharp contrast to what are, at their core, very human, vulnerable lyrics." [14]

Laura Marie Marano is an American actress and singer. She is known for her role in the Disney Channel series Austin & Ally as Ally Dawson. Marano was one of the five original classmates in Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?. She starred in Without a Trace for three seasons and Back to You. Metro Station was an American pop rock band that was formed in Los Angeles, California by singer Mason Musso and bassist/guitarist Trace Cyrus. In late 2006, the band signed a recording contract with Columbia Records and RED Ink Records. The band is best known for the commercially successful hit single "Shake It" from the group's self-titled debut album. In 2010, tension between Cyrus and Musso caused the band to go on hiatus. In 2011, the band returned, however, it was announced that Cyrus was no longer a part of the group and Musso had purchased the rights to the name.
Trace Dempsey Cyrus is an American musician. The son of country music singer Billy Ray Cyrus and brother of recording artists Miley Cyrus and Noah Cyrus, he was the backing vocalist and guitarist of the band Metro Station. In 2010, he began providing vocals and guitar in the pop rock band Ashland HIGH. He also owned the now defunct clothing company From Backseats to Bedrooms.
Breathe Carolina are an American electronic music duo from Denver, Colorado. The duo formed in 2007 consisting of David Schmitt and Kyle Even. They later expanded to a full band whose best-known lineup included Schmitt, Even, drummer Eric Armenta, keytarist Joshua Aragon and DJ Luis Bonet. In 2013, Even left the group, while Tommy Cooperman joined that year. Breathe Carolina is currently composed of Schmitt and Cooperman.

Porter Weston Robinson is an American DJ and electronic music producer. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, and raised in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Robinson began producing electronic music during his adolescence. He signed to Skrillex's record label OWSLA at the age of 18 and released the extended play Spitfire in 2011. He appeared on Billboard's 21 Under 21 list in 2012.
Sawayama is the debut studio album by Japanese-British singer Rina Sawayama. It was released on 17 April 2020 by Dirty Hit. The follow-up to her self-released debut EP Rina (2017), it received widespread acclaim from music critics, specifically towards the wide variety of music genres used, as well as its Y2K nostalgia and "intelligent" nature. Described by Sawayama herself as being "about family and identity", she lyrically explores personal experiences from both her childhood and adulthood.

"How to Be a Heartbreaker" is a song by Welsh singer Marina Diamandis, released under the stage name Marina and the Diamonds, from her second studio album, Electra Heart (2012). It was released on 7 December 2012 by 679 Artists and Atlantic Records as the album's third and final single. Diamandis worked with Ammar Malik, Benny Blanco, Cirkut, Daniel Omelio, and Dr. Luke during the songwriting process, and enlisted Blanco, Cirkut, and Dr. Luke to oversee its production.
Issues was an American metalcore band based in Atlanta, Georgia, founded in 2012. The band's final lineup consisted of guitarist and vocalist AJ Rebollo, bassist and vocalist Skyler Acord, and drummer Josh Manuel. MisterWives have played with acts such as Panic! at the Disco, Twenty One Pilots, Half Moon Run, Bleachers, The Mowgli's, Walk the Moon, Foster the People, Paramore, American Authors, X Ambassadors, and Lawrence. The band's debut album Our Own House was released in January 2015, and subsequently met with critical acclaim.
Hannah Amond, known professionally as Hannah Diamond, is an English singer, songwriter, photographer, and visual artist. She has recorded on A.G. Cook's PC Music label since 2013, beginning with her debut single "Pink and Blue". Her music and visual art employs an aesthetic of hyperreality and heavily produced cuteness in tension with sincerity. Diamond released her debut studio album, Reflections, in November 2019. Her second studio album, Perfect Picture, was released in October 2023.

Rina is the debut extended play by Japanese-British singer-songwriter Rina Sawayama. Also described as a mini album, Rina was independently released on 27 October 2017. Sawayama funded the album herself, working for "2-3 jobs at a time for years" to save enough to release the EP. Sawayama promoted the album through the Ordinary Superstar Tour in 2018.

Arizona Baby is the third studio album by American rapper Kevin Abstract, released on April 25, 2019 by Question Everything, Inc. through RCA Records. The group consists of members Caro, Alex, and Charles, who also operate as solo acts under the names caro♡, DJ Kit, and Ultralove, respectively. They were the first band to be signed to the record label PC Music. They also occasionally act as songwriters and record producers for other artists.
