Rocky Mount Central City Historic District is a national historic district located at Rocky Mount, Edgecombe County and Nash County, North Carolina. The district encompasses 166 contributing buildings in central Rocky Mount. It includes a variety of industrial, commercial, residential, and institutional buildings dating from the late-19th through mid-20th centuries. Notable buildings include the Firestation No. 2 (1924), Union Bus Station (1951), the Railway Express Agency Building (c. 1930), Memorial Hospital (1937), Church of the Good Shepherd (1877), Atlantic Coastline Railroad Station (1903-1916), Imperial Tobacco Company Processing Plant (1903-1923), S. H. Kress and Company (c. 1913), Belk-Tyler (c. 1905, 1915, 1920, 1945), Grand Theater (c. 1912, 1930s), Manhattan Theater (c. 1935), Holy Hope Episcopal Church (1910s), and Summerlin House (1895). Rocky Mount is a city in Edgecombe and Nash counties in the Atlantic coastal plain region of the U.S. state of North Carolina. The city's population is estimated to be 53,922 as of 2019. It is the principal city of the Rocky Mount metropolitan area, often called the "Twin Counties", which had an estimated population of 146,021 in 2018. Rocky Mount is also an anchor city of the Rocky Mount-Wilson-Roanoke Rapids Combined Statistical Area in northeast North Carolina with a total population of 297,726 as of 2018.

Rocky Mount, officially the Helen P. Gay Rocky Mount Historic Train Station, is an intermodal transit station in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, United States. Its main building serves as an Amtrak train station, while an adjacent building serves as the bus terminus for the Tar River Transit and as a Greyhound stop. The station is located just south of downtown Rocky Mount and is part of the Rocky Mount Central City Historic District.
Abbeville Historic District is a historic district in Abbeville, South Carolina.
