Sandsville Township is a township in Polk County, Minnesota, in the United States. It is part of the Grand Forks-ND-MN Metropolitan Statistical Area. At the 2000 census, the population was 58.
Sandsville Township was organized in 1882, and named for brothers Casper Sand and Martin Sand, Norwegian settlers. [3]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 27.0 square miles (69.9 km2), all of it land.
As of the census [1] of 2000, there were 58 people, 25 households, and 18 families residing in the township. The population density was 2.1 people per square mile (0.8/km2). There were 29 housing units at an average density of 1.1/sq mi (0.4/km2). The racial makeup of the township was 100.00% White.
There were 25 households, out of which 24.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.0% were married couples living together, 4.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.0% were non-families. 24.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 12.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.32 and the average family size was 2.72.
