"I Took a Pill in Ibiza" is a song by American singer Mike Posner. The song was originally acoustic guitar-based and released digitally as a single in the United States in April 2015 before being remixed a few months later by Norwegian production duo Seeb. The original version is on Posner's second EP The Truth, while both versions are on his second studio album At Night, Alone. The title references the Spanish island of Ibiza, while the pill was a "mystery" drug according to Posner; he later confirmed it was MDMA.

Bergan started releasing covers on YouTube at the age of 16, eventually signing a record deal with Warner Music Norway in 2013. In 2015 she attained mainstream success in Denmark and Germany with her single "All Hours", before breaking through in her native Norway in 2016 with "Arigato" peaking at number one. Bergan's major-label debut album Turn On the Light was released in 2018. She returned to the number one spot in 2018 on VG-lista after collaborating with K-391, Alan Walker and Seungri on "Ignite".

Swedish singer and songwriter Benjamin Ingrosso has released five studio albums, three live albums, two extended plays, and 34 singles. He competed twice in Melodifestivalen in 2017 and 2018, winning in the latter and representing Sweden at that year's Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Dance You Off". In September 2018, he released his debut studio album Identification. The album peaked at number one on the Swedish Albums Chart. In January 2021, he released his second studio album and first Swedish-language album En gång i tiden, which also peaked at number one on the Swedish Albums Chart. The follow-up album En gång i tiden , released in April 2021, also peaked at number one on the Swedish Albums Chart.

Antwan Afram, known professionally as Ant Wan, is a Swedish rapper and songwriter. He grew up in the Råby area of Västerås and released his first songs in early 2016. He made a few songs in 2017 and later in 2018 changed his artist name to Ant Wan. His five-track EP Wow (2019) which included the tracks "Wow", "Kall", "Rikare", "Fendi" and "Boo", reached the top of the Swedish Albums Chart.
