Azadi Square, formerly known as Shahyad Square, is a mainly green city square in Tehran, Iran. It hosts as its centerpiece the Azadi Tower. The tower and square were commissioned by Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last Shah of Iran, to mark the 2,500th year of the foundation of the Imperial State of Iran.
The Tehran Metro is a rapid transit system serving Tehran, the capital of Iran. It is the largest metro system in the Middle East. The system is owned and operated by Tehran Urban and Suburban Railway. It consists of six operational metro lines, with construction under way on four lines including northwestern extension of line 4, south extension line 6, north and east extension line 7 and Line 10.
The Azadi Stadium, opened as the Aryamehr Stadium, is an all-seater football stadium in Tehran, Iran. The stadium was designed by Abdol Aziz Mirza Farman-Farmaian Architects and Associates (AFFA) with other parts of the sports complex based on plans by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, an American architectural, urban planning, and engineering firm due to the very short time frame for design and construction of the overall project. It was inaugurated on 17 October 1971 by Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last Shah of Iran; it is currently self-owned by Esteghlal and Persepolis. It is also the home stadium of the Iran national football team. It has a capacity of 78,116 spectators, as the result of conversion to all-seater stadium. The stadium is part of the much larger Azadi Sport Complex, and is surrounded by a rowing river, football training pitches, a weightlifting complex, swimming facilities and indoor volleyball and futsal courts, among many other amenities.

The Āzādi Sport Complex, formerly known as Āryāmehr Sports Complex, is the national sports complex of Iran based in Tehran. It is the biggest sports complex in Iran. The massive Azadi Stadium is located within the walls of this complex. It was designed by Abdol-Aziz Mirza Farmanfarmaian along with the San Francisco office of Skidmore, Owings & Merill, and constructed by Iran's Arme Construction Company.
Tehran Bus Rapid Transit was officially inaugurated in 2008 in order to facilitate the motor traffic in Tehran. As at 2011 the bus rapid transit (BRT) system had a network of 100 kilometers which transports 1.8 million passengers on a daily basis.

Shahid Navvab-e Safavi Metro Station is a station in Tehran Metro Line 2 and Line 7. It is located in the junction of Navvab Expressway and Azarbayjan Street. It is between Hor Square Metro Station and Shademan Metro Station in line 2 and between roudaki metro station and towhid metro station in Line 7 (purple). It is named after Navvab Safavi. The station also serve Line 7.
Sharif University Metro Station is a station on Tehran Metro Line 2. It is located at the junction of Sohravard Street and Dr. Habibollah Street. It is near Yadegar-e-Emam Expressway and Sharif University of Technology. It is between Shademan Metro Station and Tarasht Metro Station.
Eram-e Sabz Metro Station is a station in Tehran Metro Line 4 and Line 5. It is located north of Tehran-Karaj Freeway and Ekbatan. It is the western terminus of Line 4, next to Shahrak-e Ekbatan Metro Station and it is between Azadi Stadium Metro Station and Sadeghieh (Tehran) Metro Station on Line 5. The station was formerly called Ekbatan , however the Ekbatan part of the name was dropped in July 2015, in order to avoid confusion with the nearby Shahrak-e Ekbatan Metro Station, as part of the city council's consideration of polling of the public opinions.
Varzeshgah-e Azadi Metro Station, translated as Azadi Stadium Metro Station is a station in Tehran Metro Line 5. It is located north of Tehran-Karaj Freeway and south of Azadi Stadium. It is between Eram-e Sabz Metro Station and Chitgar Metro Station.
Chitgar Metro Station is a station in Tehran Metro Line 5. It is located north of Tehran-Karaj Freeway and near Chitgar Park. It is between Azadi Stadium Metro Station and Iran Khodro Metro Station.
Towhid Metro Station is a station of Tehran Metro Line 4. It is located in Tohid Square on top of Tohid Tunnel. It is between Enghelab Metro Station and Shademan Metro Station. The station was opened on 7 February 2011. The station will also serve Line 7 when it opens.
Tehran Metro Line 2, which opened between Sadeghieh and Imam Khomeini in February 2000, is 20.4 kilometers (12.7 mi) long, with 19 km (12 mi) as a subway and 1.4 kilometers (0.87 mi) elevated. At this time, there were 19 stations along the line, of which Imam Khomeini Station was shared by Line 1. Line 2 is coloured blue on system maps and runs mostly east–west through the city.

Meydan-e Azadi Metro Station is the sixteenth station of the Tehran Metro Line 4 and is located in Azadi Square, Shaheed Baradaran Rahmani Highway, between Ostad Moein and before Bimeh.
Bimeh Metro Station is a station in Tehran Metro Line 4. It is located on Lashgari Expressway next to Shahrak-e Bimeh. It is between Meydan-e Azadi Metro Station and Shahrak-e Ekbatan Metro Station. It is also the terminus of the Mehrabad Airport branch of the line, having a special distinct fleet of trains running along it.
