The Tehran Metro is a rapid transit system serving Tehran, the capital of Iran. It is the largest metro system in the Middle East. The system is owned and operated by Tehran Urban and Suburban Railway. It consists of six operational metro lines, with construction under way on six lines including northwestern extension of line 4, south extension line 6, northwestern and east extension line 7 and Line 10, Line 8 and 9.
Malek National Museum and Library is a museum and national library in Tehran, Iran. Malek National Library and Museum Institution (MNLMI) is the first private museum of Iran, and one of the six large libraries holding the exquisite manuscripts. The MNLMI collection is a rich trove of the best manuscripts and Iranian historical artworks. The Institution is located in the historical precinct of “Bagh-e Melli”, that is considered the cultural-historical center of Tehran. Usually, the MNLM visitors are numerous university students and researchers, as well as tourists who enjoy its library and museum facilities. It is one of the biggest libraries of precious manuscripts in Iran, built by Hadji Hussein Agha Malek, the richest man in Iran at the time. He built it in a traditional Persian architecture style. One of the biggest contributors is Esat Malek Malek, Hadji Hussein Agha Malek's eldest daughter, who contributed to the museum's development.
Tehran Bus Rapid Transit was officially inaugurated in 2008 in order to facilitate the motor traffic in Tehran. As at 2011 the bus rapid transit (BRT) system had a network of 100 kilometers which transports 1.8 million passengers on a daily basis.
Shush Metro Station is a station in Tehran Metro Line 1. It is located in Shush Street. It is between Payane Jonoob Metro Station and Meydan-e Mohammadiyeh Metro Station.
Darvazeh Shemiran Metro Station is the junction of Tehran Metro Line 2 and Tehran Metro Line 4. It is located in junction of Baharestan Street and Mazandaran Street and Namjou Street nad Sepah Street. It is between Imam Hossein Metro Station and Baharestan Metro Station in Line 2 and Meydan-e Shohada Metro Station and Darvazeh Dowlat Metro Station in Line 4.
Ferdowsi Metro Station is a station in Tehran Metro Line 4. It is located in Ferdowsi Square the junction of Enghelab Street and Ferdowsi Street. It is between Darvaze Dolat Metro Station and Teatr-e Shahr Metro Station. It has connection to Tehran Bus BRT1.
Tehran (Sadeghiyeh) Metro Station is the junction of Tehran Metro Line 2 and Tehran Metro Line 5. It is located in Sadeghiye neighborhood near Mohammad Ali Jenah Expressway and Tehran-Karaj Freeway. It is the west end of Line 2 and the east end of Line 5. The next station in Line 2 is Tarasht Metro Station and the next station in Line 5 is Eram-e Sabz Metro Station. It also has a big parking lot and is considered as the most crowded Tehran metro station. It is currently the only above ground station on Tehran Metro Line 2.
Eram-e Sabz Metro Station is a station in Tehran Metro Line 4 and Line 5. It is located north of Tehran-Karaj Freeway and Ekbatan. It is the western terminus of Line 4, next to Shahrak-e Ekbatan Metro Station and it is between Azadi Stadium Metro Station and Sadeghieh (Tehran) Metro Station on Line 5. The station was formerly called Ekbatan , however the Ekbatan part of the name was dropped in July 2015, in order to avoid confusion with the nearby Shahrak-e Ekbatan Metro Station, as part of the city council's consideration of polling of the public opinions.
Karaj Metro Station is a station in Tehran Metro Line 5. It is located in southeastern Karaj near Tehran-Qazvin Freeway. It is between Atmosfer Metro Station and Mahdasht Metro Station. The station is 1.8 km (1.1 mi) north of Karaj railway Station, which serves Tehran Commuter Railway.
Golshahr Metro Station is the former western end of Tehran Metro Line 5. It is located in Mehrshahr in southwest of Karaj. In December 2019 Line 5 has been extended further west beyond this station to Hashtgerd.
Farhangsara Metro Station is the eastern end of Tehran Metro Line 2, in Iran. It was opened in 2010, with Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf attending the inauguration. It is located in Jashnvareh Street in Tehranpars neighborhood. The next station is Tehran Pars Metro Station.
Teatr-e Shahr Metro Station is a station in Tehran Metro Line 4 and Line 3. It is located at the intersection of Enghelab Street and Valiasr Street near the location of Teatr-e Shahr, in Daneshjoo Park. The station was formerly known as Vali Asr Metro Station. However, its name was officially changed on February 2, 2016, in order to avoid confusions with the newer Meydan-e Vali Asr Metro Station.
Tehran Metro Line 2, which opened between Sadeghieh and Imam Khomeini in February 2000, is 20.4 kilometers (12.7 mi) long, with 19 km (12 mi) as a subway and 1.4 kilometers (0.87 mi) elevated. At this time, there were 19 stations along the line, of which Imam Khomeini Station was shared by Line 1. Line 2 is coloured blue on system maps and runs mostly east–west through the city.
Line 4 is one of several lines of the Tehran Metro. The line is 24.4 km (15.2 mi) with 20 main stations, 3 stations along a domestic airport-serving branch line and a terminal (depôt).
Rahahan Metro Station is a metro station in line3 of Tehran metro, located in Rahahan Square. As suggested by the name, it is connected with Tehran Railway Station
Ghaem Metro Station is a station in line 3 of the Tehran Metro. It is located at Shahrak-e Qa'em in Northeastern Tehran. Ghaem Station is the Northeastern terminus of Tehran's line 3.
Kaveh Metro Station is a station on Isfahan Metro Line 1. The station opened on 15 October 2015. It is located at Kaveh Bus Terminal, on Kaveh Boulevard in Isfahan. The station will serve as an inter-provincial passenger hub, as there is the bus terminal there, and there are plans for Tehran-Qom-Isfahan High Speed Rail to terminate at this location too. The next station on the north side is Jaber Station and on the southeast side Shahid Chamran Station.
Mehrabad Airport Terminal 1 and 2 station is a station in Tehran Metro Line 4's Mehrabad Branch, branching off from Bimeh Metro Station. It is located in Mehrabad Airport serving Terminals 1 and 2.
Mehrabad Airport Terminal 4 and 6 station is a station in Tehran Metro Line 4's Mehrabad Branch, branching off from Bimeh Metro Station. It is located in Mehrabad Airport serving Terminal pairs 4 and 6.
Shahid Bokharaei Metro Station is a station in Tehran Metro Line 1 and was formerly named Khazane Metro Station until 2016. It is between Ali Abad Metro Station and Payane Jonoob Metro Station.
