Sienna Spiro (stylised in all caps; born 25 September 2005), is a British singer-songwriter. Known for her distinct deep alto voice, she began sharing various viral singing videos on TikTok in 2022. She began putting out singles in 2024, including the UK No. 45 hit "Maybe". She released Sink Now, Swim Later, her debut extended play, in February 2025. Her breakthrough success came with the release of "Die on This Hill", which reached No. 9 in the UK singles chart in November 2025.
Spiro was born on September 25, 2005, in London, England.[1] She has one sister, and she is the daughter of jeweller Glenn Spiro and his wife, Arabella.[5][6][7] Spiro and her family are Jewish; her mother's cousin is Gilbert de Botton.[8] Her mother is involved with Tikva UK, a non-profit supporting at-risk Jewish children in Ukraine.[9][10]
In 2021, Spiro began posting videos of herself singing on the social media app TikTok. After numerous viral videos, of both covers and original music, Spiro amassed a following.[3] She released her debut single, "Need Me", on 24 May 2024, which performed well on Spotify.[3]
Spiro's second single, "Maybe", was released in August 2024.[13] The song peaked at No. 75 on the Official Singles Chart.[14] Later that month, she performed at All Points East festival at Victoria Park, London.[15] Her third single, "Taxi Driver", was released in October 2024.[16][17] It was followed by "Back to Blonde", her fourth single, in November 2024.[18][19] After the release, she was billed a "musician to watch" for 2025 by Dazed.[20] In January 2025, she released the song "Butterfly Effect".[21][22] Alongside its release, she announced the release of her debut extended play (EP), Sink Now, Swim Later.[23] It was released on 21 February 2025 and includes all of her previous singles, alongside three new songs.[24]
In May 2025, Spiro released the song "Dream Police".[25] It was followed by "You Stole the Show" in July, as well as her first tour across the United Kingdom in September.[26] In October, Spiro released the track "Die on This Hill". It became a breakthrough track for Spiro,[4] reaching No. 9 on the UK singles chart.[14] Following its release, she signed a global publishing agreement with Sony Music Publishing.[27] She has also been nominated for the Critics' Choice accolade at the upcoming 2026 Brit Awards.[28]
