Silhouettella is a genus of spiders in the family Oonopidae. It was first described in 1979 by Benoit. As of 2021 [update] , it contains 11 species. [1]
Silhouettella comprises the following species: [1]
Oonopidae, also known as goblin spiders, is a family of spiders consisting of over 1,600 described species in about 113 genera worldwide, with total species diversity estimated at 2000 to 2500 species. The type genus of the family is OonopsKeyserling, 1835.
Long-jawed orb weavers or long jawed spiders (Tetragnathidae) are a family of araneomorph spiders first described by Anton Menge in 1866. They have elongated bodies, legs, and chelicerae, and build small orb webs with an open hub with few, wide-set radii and spirals with no signal line or retreat. Some species are often found in long vegetation near water.
The Haplogynae or haplogynes are one of the two main groups into which araneomorph spiders have traditionally been divided, the other being the Entelegynae. Morphological phylogenetic studies suggested that the Haplogynae formed a clade; more recent molecular phylogenetic studies refute this, although many of the ecribellate haplogynes do appear to form a clade, Synspermiata.
Ischnothyreus is a genus of oonopid spiders generally between 1.25 and 2.25 mm long. They have six eyes; in at least the species I. peltifer and I. omus, the males have a curious knob or hook at the base of the fang.
Opopaea is a genus of goblin spiders of the family Oonopidae. The genus is one of the largest within the family, with 180 accepted species.
Orchestina is a spider genus in the family Oonopidae, first described by Eugène Simon in 1882.
Aprusia is a genus of goblin spiders in the family Oonopidae, containing eight accepted species. Seven species are endemic to Sri Lanka and the other species is endemic to India.
Brignolia is a genus of goblin spiders in the family Oonopidae, containing 31 accepted species.
Gamasomorpha is a genus of goblin spiders in the family Oonopidae, containing sixty three accepted species.
Xestaspis is a genus of goblin spiders that was first described by Eugène Louis Simon in 1884.
Lionneta is a genus of spiders in the family Oonopidae. It was first described in 1979 by Benoit. As of 2017, it contains 8 species, all of them from the Seychelles.
Malagiella is a genus of spiders in the family Oonopidae. It was first described in 2011 by Ubick & Griswold. As of 2017, it contains 10 species, all from Madagascar.
Molotra is a genus of spiders in the family Oonopidae. It was first described in 2011 by Ubick & Griswold. As of 2017, it contains 6 species, all from Madagascar.
Noideattella is a genus of spiders in the family Oonopidae. It was first described in 2012 by Álvarez-Padilla, Ubick & Griswold. As of 2017, it contains 13 species from Madagascar and related islands.
Pelicinus is a genus of spiders in the family Oonopidae. It was first described in 1892 by Simon. As of 2022, it contains 21 species.
Tolegnaro is a genus of spiders in the family Oonopidae. It was first described in 2012 by Álvarez-Padilla, Ubick & Griswold. As of 2016, it contains 2 species, both found in Madagascar.
Noideattella tsiba is a species of araneomorph spider in the family Oonopidae,. This species can only be found on the African island Madagascar. Two individual specimens were collected when the species was first discovered. The first was a male holotype which measured 1.4 mm across. The other, a female paratype measured 1.6 mm.
Cinetomorpha is a genus of goblin spiders first described by Eugène Louis Simon in 1892. It is a senior synonym of Lucetia, and Yumates.
