Digital radio is the use of digital technology to transmit or receive across the radio spectrum. Digital transmission by radio waves includes digital broadcasting, and especially digital audio radio services.
ETV is an English language television channel in Sri Lanka owned by EAP Broadcasting Company, a subsidiary of EAP Holdings. Launched in 1995 as ETV 2, it was a sister channel of ETV 1. The channel's owner Extra Terrestrial Vision (Private) Limited, who had been incorporated on 6 July 1992, changed its name to EAP Network (Private) Limited on 30 April 1996 following the acquisition by EAP. At that time ETV 2 was re-broadcasting Star TV. ETV 1 was re-launched as Swarnavahini, a mass market Sinhala language channel, on 16 March 1997. ETV 2 was re-launched as ETV on 1 May 1998. EAP Network (Private) Limited changed its name to EAP Broadcasting Company (Private) Limited on 16 May 2012, EAP Network (Private) Limited on 31 October 2012, EAP Network Limited on 28 August 2013 and EAP Broadcasting Company Limited on 11 September 2013. In 2019, EAP Broadcasting Company parent company EAP Holdings was acquired by local company Ben Holdings (Pvt) Limited and Singapore based company Blue Summit.
Radio broadcasting in Sri Lanka dates to 1923. Radio broadcasting, like other forms of media in Sri Lanka, is generally divided along linguistic lines with state and private media operators providing services in Sinhala, Tamil, and English language.
Independent Television Network-ITN is a Sri Lankan state governed television and radio broadcaster located in Wickramasinghepura, Battaramulla, Sri Lanka. It is a Shrama Abhimani Award winner , broadcasts content to a wide demographic within Sri Lanka as well as the expatriate community. The programmes are broadcast in three languages: Sinhala, Tamil, and English. The ITN broadcast coverage extends to 99% of the island of Sri Lanka.
Dialog Axiata PLC, is one of Sri Lanka's largest telecommunications service providers, and the country's largest mobile network operator with 17.1 million subscribers which amounts to 57% of the Sri Lankan mobile market. Sooriyan FM is a privately owned Tamil radio station in Sri Lanka run by ABC Radio Networks started in 1998. It covers the whole island. The network runs sister stations Hiru FM and Shaa FM in Sinhala and Gold FM and Sun FM in English.
Siyatha FMis a radio channel based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It is owned by Voice of Asia (Pvt) Ltd., which also runs its sister television channel Siyatha TV. Siyatha FM is available on 98.2 MHz, 98.4 MHz Islandwide in Sri Lanka.
TV Derana is a Sri Lankan private entertainment terrestrial television channel broadcasting in Sri Lanka. Launched on 11 October 2005, it is one of the most popular television networks in the country. Its main transmission tower is on the Kikilimana mountain, and coverage is extended nationwide via eight transmission towers.
Dian Hemamali Sangeetha Weeraratne (born December 13, 1973, as is a Sri Lankan film actress in the Sri Lankan cinema. She made her debut as a sixteen-year-old with Roy de Silva's It's a Matter of Time opposite Kamal Addararachchi in 1990. However, she earned immense popularity only after performing in H.D. Premaratne's Saptha Kanya, also opposite Kamal Addararachchi in 1993. It was a huge success and she won the Sarasaviya Best Newcomer Award that year. Since then she has acted in over 50 movies and is regarded as one of the most successful stars of the Sri Lankan film industry.
Star Tamil TV is a Tamil television service in Sri Lanka. The channel started broadcasting on 17 September 2009 as Vettri TV, the same day as its Sinhala sister station Siyatha TV. The channel is mainly telecast Tamil films and tamil-dubbed cartoons.
Star தமிழ் FM is a Tamil radio station in Sri Lanka. The channel started broadcasting on 11 February 2008 as Vettri FM.
Prime Radio is an FM radio station which broadcasts in Sri Lanka. The radio station is operated by Independent Television Network Limited, a state governed television and radio broadcaster in Sri Lanka.
Kiss FM is a privately owned English language radio station in Sri Lanka. Founded in 2009 as Kiss 898, the station broadcasts Hip Hop, Pop and Dance music across the country.

IBC Tamil is a mass media company offering 24-hour television, radio and online services to the Sri Lankan Tamil diaspora. Headquartered in London, the company is licensed and regulated under European media law.
Sri Lankan Hip Hop is a part of the Asian hip hop culture. This multilingual genre features Sinhala, Tamil and English.

Supreme TV is a television channel currently broadcasting in Sri Lanka in the Sinhala language It is owned by Supreme Global Holdings and it consists of the DVB-T2 pictures and stereo sounds. It currently holds all island coverage. It's programme content includes: Teledramas, International TV Series, Music, Movies, Documentaries, Entertainment, Political, Children's Programmes and News. The channel airs content mainly focusing on entertainment and sports. It was launched by Supreme Global Holdings. R. M. Manivannan is the chairman of the channel.
