Daniel Quinn Karaty is an American TV personality, actor, producer, dancer and choreographer. He has performed with and/or created routines for pop superstars such as Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue and *NSYNC. Karaty is also well known as a judge and choreographer on several versions of the global dance competition program So You Think You Can Dance, including the American, Australian, Canadian versions and as a permanent member of the judge's panel for the Dutch-Belgian version since its first season. In addition, Karaty starred in "Soof," The Netherlands' highest-grossing film in 2013. He appears as a judge or mentor on X Factor, Everybody Dance Now,My Name Is Michael, Holland's Got Talent, So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation, Belgium's Got Talent and The Ultimate Dance Battle, the last of which he created and on which he serves as executive producer. Previously, Karaty served in the capacity of a performance stager and choreographer on America's Got Talent.

The judges are Agustin Egurolla, Michał Piróg and Kinga Rusin who joined the panel after hosting the five previous seasons.
The Ultimate Dance Battle (TUDB) is a Dutch and Flemish dance competition and reality show for professional level choreographers and dancers. In The Netherlands the show airs on the Dutch television network RTL 5, and in Belgium on the Flemish channel 2BE. American choreographer Dan Karaty is credited as creator and executive producer of The Ultimate Dance Battle series and he also serves as its main officiator. The ninth series of Dancing on Ice aired from 5 January to 9 March 2014 on ITV. It was announced on 22 October 2013 that this series would be the show's last, and would be an 'All-Star' series featuring former winners and previous contestants. Phillip Schofield and Christine Bleakley returned to present, with Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean returning as mentors. Robin Cousins, Jason Gardiner, Karen Barber, and Ashley Roberts returned to The Ice Panel. Cousins was unable to appear on the ice panel during weeks 6 and 7 due to him commentating the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, and was replaced by original judge Nicky Slater, while Barber acted as head judge.
The sixth season of So You Think You Can Dance, a Belgian-Dutch televised dance competition based on the American show by the same name, aired in late 2013 and concluded on December 1 with modern dancer Danny Boom as the winner. The judge's panel for this seasons was composed, for the second year running, of Dan Karaty, Euvgenia Parakhina, Jan Kooijman and Ish Ait Hamou and the shows hosting duties fell again to Dennis Weening and An Lemmens, in their fifth consecutive year as co-presenters. For this season, the "boot camp" portion of the finalist selection process was held in Seville, Spain.
