Sonal Chauhan (born 16 May 1985/1987) is an Indian actress, singer, model and beauty pageant titleholder. She predominantly works in Telugu and Hindi films. [4] She won the title of Femina Miss India in 2005 and Miss World Tourism in 2005.

Contents

She made her acting debut with Hindi film Jannat [5] and her Telugu film debut with Rainbow , both in 2008. Chauhan made her Kannada film debut with Cheluveye Ninne Nodalu (2010) and Tamil debut with Inji Iduppazhagi (2015). She has been part of successful films including Legend (2014), Pandaga Chesko (2015), Size Zero (2015) and Dictator (2016).

Early life

Chauhan was born in a Rajput family. [6] She attended Delhi Public School in Noida. [7] She then studied Philosophy honours at Gargi College in New Delhi. [8]

Career

Modelling career

She was crowned Miss World Tourism 2005 at Miri, Sarawak state of Malaysia. [9] She is the first Indian to have claimed the Miss World Tourism title. [10] She also appeared on the cover pages of FHM. [11]

Acting career

She first appeared on screen in Himesh Reshammiya's Aap Kaa Surroor .[ citation needed ] She appeared opposite Emraan Hashmi. [12] She has also signed a three-film deal with the Bhatts, of which two are pending. [13] She also sang a duet with KK for the song "Kaise Bataoon" in the film 3G. [14]

She acted in a Telugu film Legend costarring Nandamuri Balakrishna and marking her comeback to Tollywood. Her next project was Pandaga Chesko . In early 2015, she signed two Telugu films: Size Zero opposite Arya and Sher opposite Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. [15]

In early July 2015, she signed another Telugu film, Dictator . [16]

Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, often referred to by his initials NTR, was an Indian actor, film director, film producer, screenwriter, film editor, philanthropist and politician who served as a former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for seven years over three terms. Nandamuri Balakrishna also known as Balayya or NBK is an Indian actor, film producer and politician known for his works in Telugu cinema. Balakrishna is an elected member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Hindupuram constituency since 2014. The sixth son of actor and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N. T. Rama Rao, Balakrishna made his debut as a child artist at the age of 14 with the film Tatamma Kala (1974). Balakrishna is a recipient of three state Nandi Awards, three SIIMA Awards, and the IIFA Award. In 2012, Balakrishna was the chief guest at the 43rd IFFI. Currently, he serves as the Chairman of Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute in Hyderabad.

NTR: Kathanayakudu is a 2019 Indian Telugu-language biographical drama film based on the real life and acting career of N. T. Rama Rao (NTR).
