Souls is a Bangladeshi rock band formed in Chittagong in 1972.
In 1972, the band was formed under the name Shurela by bass guitarist Sajedul Alam, lead guitarist Momtazul Haque Lulu, drummer Subrata Barua Ronny, keyboardist Ahmed Newaz and singer Tajul Imam.
In 1973, the band changed the name to Souls.
In 1980, Souls released their first album Super Souls. It is the first album released by a music group in Bangladesh.
In 1982, Souls released their second album Colleger Corridore.
In 1986, Souls released their third album Manush Matir Kacha Kachi.
In 1988, Souls released their fourth album East and West.
In 1993, Souls released their fifth album E Emon Porichoy.
In 1995, Souls released their sixth album Aj Din Katuk Gaane.
In 1997, Souls released their seventh album Oshomoyer Gaan.
In 2000, Souls released their eighth album Mukhorito Jibon. This was their first acoustic and unplugged album.
In 2003, Souls released their ninth album Tarar Uthone.
In 2004, Souls released their tenth album To-Let.
In 2006, Souls released their eleventh album Jhut Jhamela.
In 2011, Souls released their twelfth album Jam. [1]
In 2023/2024, 50 Years of Souls was celebrated by releasing 20 new songs and 30 old songs. They also toured and performed in UK's London, Birmingham and Australia's Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and also USA's Miami, Alexandria, West Lafayette, Houston, Los Angeles, Denver, Seattle, Boston, Ocala, Sacramento, San Jose, Oklahoma, Dallas, New York, Atlanta along with India's Kolkata as well as Bangladesh's Chittagong, Noakhali, Habiganj, Narayanganj, Jessore, Cox's Bazar and a grand concert in Dhaka. The members during the celebration were Naseem Ali Khan on vocals, Partha Barua on vocals/lead guitar, Ahasanur Rahman Ashiq on drums, Meer Shahriar Hossain Masum on keyboard and Maruf Hasan Talukder Real on bass guitar. Aftershock is an album by the R&B band Average White Band, released in 1989. Three original bandmembers returned; Alex Ligertwood joined on vocals. Chaka Khan sang on two of the album's songs. Track Records, the band's label, was unable to effectively promote Aftershock. The album was a moderate success in Europe.
Irtiqa is the debut album by the Pakistani rock band, Entity Paradigm. It was originally slated for a 25 September 2003 release date, but was delayed to 1 October. Onno Shomoy is the debut album by the Bangladeshi progressive metal band, Artcell, released in 2002 under G-Series. This album was highly appreciated by metal listeners. This album was one of the first to introduce and develop progressive metal music in Bangladesh. Their sound and compositions differed from other Bangla rock music during that time consisting of fingerstyle guitar intros, unique drum fills with the use of hi-hats and double bass and bass guitar tapping. Their playing style and sound got developed in their upcoming albums as time went on.
Infiniti is the debut album of the singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Salman Ahmad. The album was released on July 1, 2005 under the record label EMI. Singles from the album include "Ghoom Taana" and "Al-Vida". The single "Ghoom Taana" also featured in Junoon's seventh studio album Dewaar. Although, the album was released as a solo album of Salman Ahmad but it was slated to be Junoon's eighth studio album.

রক্ত গোলাপ is the debut studio album by Bangladeshi singer-songwriter Ayub Bachchu, released by Zahed Electronics on 22 September 1986. Produced by Hasan uz Zaman and Zahed Hasan, the owner of Zahed Electronics. Producer Hasan uz Zaman signed Bachchu to the label in the early-1986. The album is a mixture of different genres, like Adhunik bangla music, pop music and features only one rock standard song, "অনামিকা (Anamika)". The album doesn't contain any song written by Bachchu.
