The South African Rugby League is the governing body for the sport of rugby league football in South Africa. The Association was formed in 1998. [1] [2]

The Canada national rugby league team represents Canada in international rugby league football tournaments.

Italy national rugby league team

The Italy national rugby league team represents Italy in rugby league football. With origins dating back to the 1950s and 1960s, the team has competed regularly in international competitions since 2008, when their current governing body, the Federazione Italiana Rugby League, was formed. NRL Victoria

NRL Victoria is responsible for administering the game of rugby league in the Australian state of Victoria. Victoria is an Affiliated State of the overall Australian governing body the National Rugby League. The VRL commenced in 1952 and has been running each year since. RAAF Ballarat were the inaugural premiers with the Werribee Bears being the most recent in 2017.

Rugby league is a team sport played in South Africa. There has been three dynasties of rugby league in South Africa that attempted to establish a thriving rugby league. Not all attempts were in the interest of South Africans; rather an interest in financial windfall. Others took to the townships and promoted the league at the grass roots, which saw some of the most successful periods of rugby league in South Africa. The game has changed over 50 years of involvement in South Africa and today is played by a small number of teams in 3 competitions, the Rhino Cup, Protea Cup and Western Province Rugby League which is administered by the South African Rugby League.

Bakkies Botha South African rugby union player

John Philip "Bakkies" Botha, is a former South African rugby union player who played as a lock for the Springboks until 5 November 2014. He was a member of the national team that won the 2007 Rugby World Cup in France in addition to winning two Tri Nations titles in the 2004 Tri Nations Series and the 2009 Tri Nations Series. Botha plays for RC Toulonnais in the Top 14 after signing from Blue Bulls provincial team in the Currie Cup competition and the Bulls Super Rugby team. Botha was also a member of the Toulon squad which won the 2013, 2014 and 2015 Heineken Cup/European Rugby Champions Cup Finals.

Fletcher's Fields is a rugby stadium in Markham, Ontario, Canada. There are six rugby fields, but only one with a grandstand for spectators. The club house, with changerooms and a snack bar, is located in the centre of the facility. Parking is located in two lots south of 19th Avenue and one north of the clubhouse.

Geography of rugby league

Rugby league is a full contact football code and spectator sport played in various countries around the world and governed by the Rugby League International Federation. As of 2010 there are currently 27 nations fielding domestic leagues that meet the World Cup eligibility requirements. Further to this there are over 30 others that are playing at an emerging level status at varying degrees of international competition and are in the process of developing the game in their nations. The global player pool is estimated to be in the millions.

Tendai Mtawarira Rugby player

Tendai Mtawarira is a Zimbabwean-born South African professional rugby union player who plays for Old Glory DC in Major League Rugby and previously for the South Africa national team and the Sharks in Super Rugby. He was born in Zimbabwe and qualified for South Africa on residency grounds, before later acquiring South African citizenship. Mtawarira, a prop, is known by the nickname The Beast.

Adriaan Strauss Rugby player

Jan Adriaan Strauss is a South African former professional rugby union player that played first class rugby between 2005 and 2018. He played in 66 international test matches for South Africa and also featured in three non-test internationals. He played Super Rugby for the Bulls and the Cheetahs, making 156 appearances, a record by a South African player. He also made 78 Currie Cup appearances for the Blue Bulls and Free State Cheetahs.

Rugby league is one of the most popular codes of football in the Australian Capital Territory. The Canberra Raiders of the National Rugby League became the Territory's first professional sports team when they were established in 1982. For decades before that rugby league clubs in the area had been competing and providing footballers for representative sides that played against domestic and foreign teams.

Marius Hofmeyr Hurter, is a former South African rugby union player who played for South Africa between 1995 and 1997. He was a member of the Springbok Squad that won the 1995 Rugby World Cup.

The 2010 Super 14 season kicked off in February 2010 with pre-season matches held from mid-January. It finished on 29 May. The 2010 season was the fifth and last season of the expanded Super 14 format. Coenraad Victor Oosthuizen, nicknamed 'Coenie' or 'Shrek', is a professional rugby union player for Sale Sharks in the English Premiership. He previously represented the Free State Cheetahs and Sharks in the Currie Cup, the Cheetahs and Sharks in Super Rugby and also was chosen for the Springboks squad in 2010, 2011 and 2012, making his test debut in the first test against England in Durban in 2012.

The 2013/14 South African Rugby League National Club Championship competition is contested between 7 September to ±30 November 2013. SARL NCC is the collective name of two rugby league competitions played between several club sides in South Africa, with the Rhino Cup being the premier competition.

The Brisbane and District Women's Rugby League is one of the main Women's rugby league competitions in Australia.

Blacktown Workers

The Blacktown Workers Rugby League Football Club, also known as Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles, are an Australian rugby league football club based in Blacktown, New South Wales formed in 1962. Since 2017 they have had a side in the Canterbury Cup NSW, as the feeder team to the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles.
