The town of Spring Valley is located in Rock County, in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 728 at the 2020 census. The only incorporated municipality in the town is the village of Orfordville.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 35.1 square miles (90.9 km2), all of it land.
As of the census [1] of 2000, there were 813 people, 282 households, and 227 families residing in the town. The population density was 23.2 people per square mile (8.9/km2). There were 291 housing units at an average density of 8.3 per square mile (3.2/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 98.52% White, 0.12% Asian, 0.62% from other races, and 0.74% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.86% of the population.
There were 282 households, out of which 37.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 70.9% were married couples living together, 5.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 19.5% were non-families. 16.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.88 and the average family size was 3.22.
