The Town of Plymouth is a located in Rock County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,270 at the 2000 census. The unincorporated community of Hanover is located in the town.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 35.7 square miles (92.3 km2), of which, 35.6 square miles (92.3 km2) of it is land and 0.03% is water.
As of the census [2] of 2000, there were 1,270 people, 441 households, and 366 families residing in the town. The population density was 35.6 people per square mile (13.8/km2). There were 454 housing units at an average density of 12.7 per square mile (4.9/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 98.11% White, 0.55% Native American, 0.16% Asian, 0.16% from other races, and 1.02% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.55% of the population.
There were 441 households, out of which 36.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 71.0% were married couples living together, 6.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 17.0% were non-families. 13.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 4.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.83 and the average family size was 3.06.
