Stan Getz at Large is an album by saxophonist Stan Getz which was released on the Verve label as a 2LP set in 1960 Since both albums ran slightly over 40 minutes a exact 2CD replica with the shown cover art was created without bonus tracks, which were added to a later edition. [1] [2]

At the Opera House is a 1958 live album by Ella Fitzgerald. The album presents a recording of the 1957 Jazz at the Philharmonic Concerts. This series of live jazz concerts was devised by Fitzgerald's manager Norman Granz; they ran from 1944 to 1983. Featured on this occasion, in 1957, are Fitzgerald and the leading jazz players of the day in an onstage jam session. The first half of the 1990 CD edition includes a performance that was recorded on September 29, 1957, at the Chicago Opera House, whilst the second half highlights the concert recorded on October 7, 1957, at the Shrine Auditorium, in Los Angeles. The original LP obviously included only the mono tracks (#10-18).

The Soft Swing is an album by saxophonist Stan Getz and recorded in 1957 and first released on the Verve label. According to the liner notes by Stewart Clay on a 2016 CD re-release, it was the only studio session in which Getz collaborated with Mose Allison, although some Mutual broadcasts from the Village Vanguard and the Red Hill Inn are included as bonus tracks of the re-release. "Although none of Allison's compositions are played here", wrote jazz critic Alun Morgan about The Soft Swing, "Mose's George Wallington-like solos add piquancy to the occasion. Such an instance can be heard on the broadcast track that closes our CD [the 2016 Phono re-release], on which Stan Getz sits out, which is 'Ain't You a Mess'."

California Concerts is a live album by saxophonist and bandleader Gerry Mulligan featuring performances recorded at the Stockton High School and Hoover High School in California in late 1954 and released on the Pacific Jazz label. The original LP was the first 12 inch LP to be released on the Pacific Jazz label in 1955. The Gerry Mulligan feature track "Polka Dots and Moonbeams" with Bob Brookmeyer on piano was first released on the compilation LP The Genius of Gerry Mulligan in 1960. Although the tracks were recorded at a high school, recording took place on weekends and in the evening. Chet Baker was originally chosen to be the trumpet player of the session, but was jailed for his ongoing heroin addiction, so trumpeter Jon Eardley took Baker’s place sounding very similar to Baker.
