The stripenose guitarfish (Acroteriobatus variegatus) is a species of fish in the Rhinobatidae family endemic to the eastern coast of India, and Sri Lanka. Its natural habitat is in the neritic zone. [1]
The stripenose guitarfish lives mainly at the depths of 10 to 40 meters, although specimens of the stripenose guitarfish have been collected at 366 meters. There is some information that indicates that they prefer coral reefs. [1]
The stripenose guitarfish is a small fish, with males reaching up to 65 centimeters in length and 75 centimeters for females.. They have a small litter size, usually giving birth to 1 from 4 and at most 6. The generation length of each fish is around five years. [1]
The population of the stripenose guitarfish is declining significantly due to fishing by trawlers on the coast of India and Sri Lanka. [1]
Harpadon nehereus, is a species of lizardfish. Adults may reach a maximum length of 40 cm (16 in), but the usual size is around 25 cm (10 in).
The guitarfish, also referred to as shovelnose rays, are a family, Rhinobatidae, of rays. The guitarfish are known for an elongated body with a flattened head and trunk and small, ray-like wings. The combined range of the various species is tropical, subtropical, and warm temperate waters worldwide.
The blackspot shark is a small species of requiem shark in the family Carcharhinidae found in the tropical Indo-West Pacific Ocean between latitudes 24°N and 30°S, from the surface to a depth around 40 m (130 ft). Its length is a little under one meter (yard) and it is not considered to be dangerous to humans. It feeds mainly on fish, crustaceans, and squid. This shark is also caught in small-scale fisheries for human consumption.

The giant guitarfish, also known as the whitespotted wedgefish, is a large species of guitarfish in the family Rhinidae. It is restricted to the Red Sea, Persian Gulf, and western Indian Ocean, but was formerly considered more widespread due to confusion with its relatives.
Rhinobatos is a genus of fish in the Rhinobatidae family. Although previously used to encompass all guitarfishes, it was found to be polyphyletic, and recent authorities have transferred many species included in the genus to Acroteriobatus, Glaucostegus, and Pseudobatos.
The bluntnose guitarfish or fiddlefish is a species of fish in the Rhinobatidae family. It is found in Namibia and South Africa. Its natural habitats are shallow seas and estuarine waters. It is threatened by habitat loss.
The sharpnose guitarfish or granulated guitarfish is a species of ray in the Glaucostegidae family.
The widenose guitarfish is a species of fish in the Glaucostegidae family. It is found in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. Its natural habitats are open seas, shallow seas, coral reefs, and estuarine waters.
Alstonia macrophylla, the hard alstonia, hard milkwood or big-leaved macrophyllum, is a species of plant in the family Apocynaceae.
The common guitarfish is a species of cartilaginous fish in the family Rhinobatidae. It is native to the eastern Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. It is a bottom-dwelling fish feeding on crustaceans, other invertebrates and fish. The females give birth to live young. Its lifestyle makes it vulnerable to trawling and other fishing methods, populations seem to be declining and it has disappeared from parts of its range.
Dendrocalamus giganteus, commonly known as giant bamboo, is a giant tropical and subtropical, dense-clumping species native to Southeast Asia. It is one of the largest bamboo species in the world.

The International Union for Conservation of Nature has assessed its conservation status as being "critically endangered".
