Sublimotion is a restaurant located in Sant Josep de sa Talaia, Ibiza, Spain run by chef Paco Roncero who utilizes molecular gastronomy in cooking. The restaurant is known for being among the most expensive in the world. Restaurant

The restaurant opened in 2014 at Ibiza’s Hard Rock Hotel and focuses on haute cuisine. The food course consists of 20 food tasting entrees and can seat a maximum of 12 patrons. [4] [5] In 2014, Sublimotion was awarded the prize Best Innovation Food & Beverage. [6]

Controversy

Sublimotion was criticized by Paul Pairet for suspected copying of his restaurant Ultraviolet with similar conception, opened in 2012, especially objecting to Sublimotion being marketed as "the first gastronomic show in the world". [7]

Fooding is a brand of a restaurant guide and gastronomic events that was founded in 2000. A contraction of the words "food" and "feeling", the Fooding aims to "defend a less-intimidating gastronomy for those who want to cook and nourish themselves in an unstuffy fashion". Ultraviolet by Paul Pairet is a single-table restaurant in Shanghai, China, opened in May 2012 by French chef Paul Pairet and the VOL Group. Since October 2014 Ultraviolet became one of the restaurant members of Les Grandes Tables du Monde, the first restaurant in this organization from China. In September 2017, the second edition of Michelin Guide Shanghai released the result for 2018, and Ultraviolet received 3 Michelin stars.

Note by Note cuisine is a style of cooking based on molecular gastronomy, created by Hervé This. Dishes are made using pure compounds instead of using animal or plant tissues. Hervé This said the cuisine is like "a painter using primary colours, or a musician composing electroacoustic music, wave by wave, using a computer".

As of 2018, the restaurant is considered the second most expensive in the world after Sublimotion at $1,111 per person.

Gustu, the quechua word for flavour, is a restaurant and bar in La Paz, Bolivia. It opened in April 2012. Gustu is under the management of Head Chef Marsia Taha. It is considered among South America's 50 best restaurants, landing the number 32 spot on The Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants 2014 and the number 14 spot in 2017 in list made by the British magazine Restaurant.

José de Avillez Burnay Ereira, known as José Avillez, is a Portuguese chef and restaurateur. He is one of the most renowned Portuguese chefs. In the beginning of 2012, José Avillez opened the fully renovated Belcanto winning a Michelin star that same year.
