Sugianto Sabran is an Indonesian politician and the current governor of Central Kalimantan. [1] As governor,Sabran has been a proponent of the Indonesian future capital proposal per the first President Sukarno's idea of shifting the national capital to Palangka Raya. [2] He's also supported initiatives for food security in the province. [3]

West Kalimantan is a province of Indonesia. It is one of five Indonesian provinces comprising Kalimantan,the Indonesian part of the island of Borneo. Its capital and largest city is Pontianak. It is bordered by East Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan to the east,the Malaysian state of Sarawak to the north,and the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Java Sea to the south. Tjilik Riwut Airport,formerly Panarung Airport,is an airport in Palangkaraya,Central Kalimantan,Indonesia. This airport is named after Tjilik Riwut (1918–1987),the second Governor of Central Kalimantan. The airport served about 1 million passengers in 2018.
The capital of the Republic of Indonesia is Jakarta,one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Southeast Asia. Previously known as Batavia,it was the de facto capital of the Dutch East Indies. In the early 20th century,the Dutch East Indies government attempted to relocate the capital from Batavia to Bandung. During Indonesia's struggle for independence,the Indonesian government moved the capital to Yogyakarta and then to Bukittinggi,where it remained for a short time until the restoration of control to Jakarta. In 2019,during his annual state of the union address at the parliament,President Joko Widodo announced a plan to relocate the capital to Kalimantan on the island of Borneo. As part of the plan,part of Kutai Kartanegara Regency and Penajam North Paser Regency in East Kalimantan will be carved out to create a new province-level planned city,and the capital will be relocated to a more central location within Indonesia. On 17 January 2022,the name was revealed to be Nusantara.
Seruyan Regency is one of the thirteen regencies which comprise the Central Kalimantan Province on the island of Kalimantan (Borneo),Indonesia. It was created on 10 April 2002 from what were previously the western districts of East Kotawaringin Regency. The town of Kuala Pembuang in Seruyan Hilir District is the capital of Seruyan Regency. The population of the Regency was 139,931 at the 2010 Census and 162,906 at the 2020 census;the official estimate was at mid 2022 was 166,072.
Sahbirin Noor is an Indonesian politician and current the governor of South Kalimantan. He vice governor Rudy Resnawan rebounded after having initially looked poised to lose the gubernatorial election in 2015. Noor has taken the initiative to rehabilitate about sixty-thousand hectares of degraded land in the province.
Puteri Indonesia 2017,the 21st Puteri Indonesia pageant was held on March 31,2017,at Jakarta Convention Center,Jakarta. Kezia Warouw,Puteri Indonesia 2016 of North Sulawesi crowned her successor Bunga Jelitha of Jakarta Special Capital Region 5 at the end of the event. All 38 contestants from 33 provinces competed for the crown. The winner will represent Indonesia at the Miss Universe 2017,while the runners-up will compete at the Miss International 2017,Miss Supranational 2017,and Miss Grand International 2017. Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere of France and Miss Grand International 2016 Ariska Putri Pertiwi of Indonesia attend at the Grand Final Show. Miss Universe 2005 Natalie Glebova of Canada also attended the show as a judge.
Djarot Saiful Hidayat is an Indonesian politician who is currently a member of the People's Representative Council. He was the governor of Jakarta,in office between 15 June and 15 October 2017 after being acting governor since 9 May. He replaced his predecessor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama when the latter was found guilty of blasphemy against Islam. He was appointed by Basuki as Deputy Governor in 2014 to fill the gap left by the election of Joko Widodo as president.

Nusantara Capital City Authority is a cabinet level-agency formed by Indonesian government,working directly under the President of Indonesia. The agency will become a special agency tasked with managing and governing the city of Nusantara,future capital of Indonesia located on Kalimantan.
Nusantara,officially known as the Capital City of Nusantara,is the future capital of Indonesia,scheduled to be inaugurated on 17 August 2024,coinciding with Indonesian Independence Day. Nusantara will replace Jakarta as the national capital,a position the latter city has held since the country's independence in 1945.
