The Summer 2022 European Tour is an upcoming concert tour by English rock guitarist and singer Eric Clapton. [1] The tour is scheduled to start on 7 May 2022 in London and will end on 22 June 2022 in Moscow. [2] Clapton is due to perform in nine different European countries, including the Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, Finland and Russia. [3] Originally scheduled to take place in the summer of 2020, it was announced on 24 March 2020, that the tour was to be postponed until 2021 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. [4]
On 6 October 2020, Clapton announced three additional shows in the United Kingdom. [5] On 3 December 2020, a fourth show in the United Kingdom was added. [6]

Eric Patrick Clapton, is an English rock and blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He is the only three-time inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: once as a solo artist and separately as a member of the Yardbirds and of Cream. Clapton has been referred to as one of the most important and influential guitarists of all time. Clapton ranked second in Rolling Stone's list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" and fourth in Gibson's "Top 50 Guitarists of All Time". He was also named number five in Time magazine's list of "The 10 Best Electric Guitar Players" in 2009.
"Knockin' on Heaven's Door" is a song by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, written for the soundtrack of the 1973 film Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid. Released as a single two months after the film's premiere, it became a worldwide hit, reaching the Top 10 in several countries. The song became one of Dylan's most popular and most covered post-1960s compositions, spawning covers from Guns N' Roses, Eric Clapton, Randy Crawford and more. Described by Dylan biographer Clinton Heylin as "an exercise in splendid simplicity", the song features two short verses, the lyrics of which comment directly on the scene in the film for which it was written: the death of a frontier lawman who refers to his wife as "Mama".
Tokio Hotel is a German rock band, founded in 2001 by singer Bill Kaulitz, guitarist Tom Kaulitz, drummer Gustav Schäfer, and bassist Georg Listing. Their sound encompasses multiple genres, including pop rock, alternative rock, and electronic rock. They have had four number one singles and have released three number one albums in their native country. The band has sold more than 10 million CDs worldwide. After recording an unreleased demo-album under the name "Devilish" and having their contract with Sony BMG Germany terminated, the band released their first German-language album, Schrei, as Tokio Hotel on Universal Music Germany in 2005. Schrei sold more than half-a-million copies worldwide and spawned four top-five singles in both Germany and Austria.
Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle is an indoor arena located in Stuttgart, Germany. The capacity of the arena is nearly 15,000 people. The venue was built in 1983 and is named for Hanns Martin Schleyer, a German former Schutzstaffel officer and employer representative, who was kidnapped and killed by the terrorist group Red Army Faction. It has a 265-metre (869 ft) track made of wood.
Queen + Adam Lambert is a collaboration between the active members of the British band Queen and American vocalist Adam Lambert. As with all other Queen performances since 1997, longstanding bassist John Deacon has declined to participate in the project due to his retirement. This is the first long-term collaboration of Queen since the Queen + Paul Rodgers project ended in 2009. Like the previous project, it was made clear that Lambert would not be replacing Queen frontman Freddie Mercury, but rather that he would be featured with the band's active members.
Farewell Yellow Brick Road is an ongoing tour by British musician Elton John that began in Allentown, Pennsylvania on 8 September 2018. It is intended to be John's final tour and will consist of more than 300 concerts worldwide. By the end of the first leg of the tour on 18 March 2019, it had grossed over $125 million and won a Billboard Music Award in the category Top Rock Tour. The tour's name and its poster reference John's 1973 album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. According to Pollstar, the tour has grossed $358.6 million across 179 shows.

Promoted by Live Nation Entertainment, the tour was originally set to begin on June 11, 2020 in Vancouver and to conclude on November 16 in London.
