Sung Han-kook (born November 19,1963 [1] ) is a former badminton player and coach from South Korea.
Sung won the men's singles title at the 1986 U.S. Open and earlier that year,he won bronze at the 1986 Asian Games as well as men's team gold. He was also a part of the team that finished as runner-up at the inaugural Sudirman Cup in 1989.[ citation needed ]
In 1989,Sung married two-time All England winner Kim Yun-ja. [2] Sung and Kim's daughter Sung Ji-hyun is also a badminton player. [3]
After retiring,Sung had a long career as a coach,both for Korean professional teams and for the national team. He became the head coach of the national team in December 2010 [4] and held the post until he was dismissed in August 2012 following a match-throwing scandal at the London Olympics. [5]

Kim Dong-moon is a retired South Korean badminton player who won major titles between the mid-1990s and the mid-2000s (decade),and widely regarded as one of finest men's doubles and mixed doubles players in badminton history. Kim captured the world attention when he unexpectedly winning the gold medal in the mixed doubles event with Gil Young-ah at the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics. On his path to greatness,he won gold medals both in men's and mixed doubles at the 1999 World Championships. Kim and Ra Kyung-min,partnered up to become one of the strongest mixed doubles pairings of that time. They did not drop a single match from April to November in 2003. They won 10 straight victorious tournaments:9 consecutive Grand Prix events and one World Championship title. Their excellent results in 2003 earned Kim and Ra the Eddie Choong Player of the Year award. He captured this award previously by himself in 2002. Despite their domination,the golden couple crashed in the second round against the Danish partnership of Jonas Rasmussen and Rikke Olsen at the 2004 Athens Olympics. Kim however redeemed himself with a gold medal in men's doubles with Ha Tae-kwon. After the 2004 Olympics,Kim retired from playing and married his former mixed doubles partner,Ra in 2005. Kim is currently the only South Korean player to have ever won Olympic gold in both the men's and mixed doubles events. He was inducted into the BWF Hall of Fame in 2009.
Lee Yong-dae is a professional badminton player from South Korea who had been successful in both men's and mixed doubles. He reached world number 1 ranking with 4 different partners,Jung Jae-sung,Ko Sung-hyun and Yoo Yeon-seong in men's doubles,and Lee Hyo-jung in mixed doubles. He won a total of 43 Superseries titles,37 in the men's doubles,the most of any doubles player in one discipline,and 6 in mixed doubles. He was ranked world number 1 in men's doubles for 117 consecutive weeks with his last partner,Yoo Yeon-seong.
Kim Yun-ja is a retired female badminton player from South Korea. She is the last player to win All England Open titles in both singles and doubles.

She competed at the 2010,2014 and 2018 Asian Games,and at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. Sung is married to compatriot men's singles player,Son Wan-ho. She coaches An Se-young.
Akane Yamaguchi is a Japanese badminton player. She was a two-time world champion who won gold medals in the women's singles at the 2021 and 2022 World Championships. She was a member of the winning Japanese team at the Asian Junior Championships in 2012 and won the World Junior Championships in 2013 and 2014,the Asian Junior Championships in 2014,and the Asian Championships in 2019.

He Bingjiao is a Chinese badminton player. She began to receive intensive badminton training at the Suzhou Junior Sports School,when she was 7 years old. Five years later,she was sent to Nanjing for studies tougher training. The junior already competed in the senior level,and made her senior international debut at the 2013 Vietnam Open. In 2014,she competed at the Summer Youth Olympics,winning a gold medal in the girls' singles and a bronze in the mixed doubles event. Kim Ji-hyun,also known as Jihyun Marr,is a former South Korean badminton player. She participated at the 1996 and 2000 Summer Olympics in the women's singles event. Kim who affiliated with the Samsung Electro-Mechanics team,won the women's singles title at the National Championships tournament in 1997 and 1998. She announced her retirement from the international tournament after the 2001 Korea Open.
Agus Dwi Santoso is a badminton coach from Indonesia who is specialized in coaching Men's and Women's Singles. From 1998 to 2003,Agus Dwi Santoso occupied the National Training Center of Indonesia and coached the men's singles team. In 2010 Santoso was once again hired as Indonesia's men's singles coach at the Pelatnas PB PBSI Cipayung Training Centre. In between his stints for the National association he was a clubtrainer for PB Djarum Kudus,where he managed to make a few clubathletes brilliant. Among them are Andre Kurniawan Tedjono,Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka and Riyanto Subagja,who under his guidance were able to beat several international top players. Other players who coached under Santoso in the past are also Indonesian two-time World Championships medalist Sony Dwi Kuncoro and All England finalist Budi Santoso.
