TV4 FaktaXL was a Swedish factual television channel owned and operated by the TV4 Group and was a sister channel of TV4 Fakta. It started broadcasting in August 2012 replacing the now closed TV4 Science Fiction.

The channel broadcasts factual programs involving the world, humanity and technology.

Many of the programs shown on TV4 Fakta XL were purchased from the UK, Australia, Canada, France and Denmark. It also airs Swedish-produced programs and films which they accounted for about 10 percent of the offering.

The channel ends its broadcasts on September 30, 2017 alongside its comedy channel, TV4 Komedi.

TV4 is a Swedish free-to-air television network owned by TV4 AB, a subsidiary of the TV4 Media AB. It started broadcasting by satellite in 1990 and, since 1992, on terrestrial television. In 1994, TV4 became the largest channel and remained so for a number of years. The two channels of Sveriges Television (SVT) lost more and more viewers for a couple of years. After making schedule changes in 2001, SVT1 had practically the same numbers of viewers as TV4. From 2004 to 2019, the TV4 Group was a fully active member of the European Broadcasting Union.

Nyheterna is the name of the news programme of the Swedish channel TV4. Unlike most other programmes on TV4, Nyheterna is produced in-house by the TV4 Group themselves.

Telia Digital TV is an IPTV distribution platform in Sweden owned by Telia Company. It was launched in January 2005 from a few locations.

TV4 Science Fiction was a television channel dedicated to the science fiction genre owned by the TV4 Group. When the channel was announced, TV4 said that it would launch simultaneously in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Norway, becoming the first TV4 channel to launch in all four countries. The channel was launched in Sweden on 29 February 2008 and in Finland the next day. It did however not launch in Denmark and Norway.

TV4 Media AB is a Swedish media holding company which is currently a part of the Swedish telecommunications company Telia Company, having acquired it from Swedish multimedia conglomerate Bonnier Group. The company owns Swedish commercial broadcaster TV4 AB, Finnish commercial broadcaster MTV Oy, and pan-Nordic premium television channel operator C More Entertainment.
