Tabby Callaghan (born Trevor John O'Callaghan; 22 April 1981, County Sligo, Ireland) is an Irish musician. He was the last contestant eliminated on the first series of The X Factor in 2004.
Callaghan played in many collectives and groups as a teenager growing up in Sligo. With his brother Dominic he formed his first real band, called Petronella around 1997. The band had some success in Ireland and their single "Feeling So Low" entered the Irish top 20 singles chart. [1]
After Petronella dissolved, Callaghan then formed Boom, later renamed DZ5. DZ5 auditioned for the first series of ITV talent show The X Factor , unaware that the new show's willingness to accept groups only applied to vocal groups. [ citation needed ]
The panel of judges, Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne, advised Callaghan to re-audition as a solo singer in order to proceed in the competition. He was selected by Osbourne to be one of her acts at the live finals. He was the last contestant eliminated overall in the semi-final. He later revealed that he had been advised by the show's producers to drop the 'O' in his surname to make it sound more commercial and less Irish. [2] [3]
After The X Factor, Callaghan participated in a fly-on-the-wall "rockumentary" titled What Tabby Did Next which was shown ITV in August 2005, coinciding with the release of his debut single in Ireland. The single, called "Number One", was originally titled "Holes in My Shoes". The A-side, "Number One", was an original track penned by Callaghan himself and Mark Hudson (who had worked with him on The X Factor). The B-side was a cover of the Slade hit "My Oh My" which had been performed on the show. The single, only released in Ireland, entered the Irish charts at No. 7 in the first week of its release. In 2005, Callaghan performed at The Cavern Club in Liverpool, England. During the gig, Callaghan kicked off his boots in order to play in his bare feet, which is his trademark; however, his boots were taken from the stage by a fan. The Cavern Club management then provided him with an old pair of boots in their office which had been left behind by Ronnie Wood of The Rolling Stones. She is married to heavy metal singer-songwriter Ozzy Osbourne and came to prominence while appearing on The Osbournes (2002–2005), a reality television show that aired on MTV, which followed her family's daily life. Osbourne later became a talent show judge on television shows, such as The X Factor and America's Got Talent (2007–2012).

Lawson appeared in the female lead role in the West End production of Thriller – Live from 14 April 2009 to March 2010. She released her second studio album, Emotional Rollercoaster in 2014. Lawson lives in London with her husband Lawrence and their two children.

This has included allegations of conflict of interest, voting irregularities and overcharging, product placement for sponsors, staging scenes, use of pitch correction technology, and exploiting vulnerable contestants. On 11 May, Crawford also confirmed via Twitter that she would leave her position as The Xtra Factor presenter.

Matt Terry was announced the winner on 11 December 2016, making Scherzinger the winning mentor for the second time. Saara Aalto finished second.

Simon Cowell returned alongside new judges Louis Tomlinson, Ayda Field, and Robbie Williams who replace departing judges Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne, and Louis Walsh. Nile Rodgers filled in for Williams while he was away on his tour for weeks 3–5 of the live shows. On 2 December, Jamaican-born singer Dalton Harris won the series making him the first and only foreign contender to win the UK show. This was the only series that featured Tomlinson, Field, and Williams as judges.
The X Factor: Celebrity is a British celebrity special edition of The X Factor which premiered on 12 October 2019 on ITV. It is a revamped version of the 2006 celebrity format The X Factor: Battle of the Stars. Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh judged this series, with Dermot O'Leary presenting the series and Vick Hope hosting Xtra Bites on YouTube.
