The University of Tasmania Conservatorium of Music offers students an integrated music education based on best international contemporary arts practice.
The Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music is part of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Tasmania. It offers professional education and training in classical and contemporary music through undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Research Higher Degree awards typically involve research into contemporary performance, including cross-arts, multimedia performance, and explorations of new music technologies.
The school has a performance program through its various ensembles, including the Southern Gospel Choir, Australian International Symphony Orchestra Institute, Jan Sedivka Camerata, and The Discovery Orchestra.
The Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music offers professional education and training in classical music and contemporary music, including undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The conservatorium aims to combine traditional music skills and contemporary music practices, and to cultivate students’ strengths in composition and performance.
Since 2000, the Conservatorium has expanded to include the expansion into new areas of study such as Rock Studies and Time-based Multimedia to complement its already-established programs in Classical Music, Jazz and Music Education.

A Bachelor of Music (BMus) is an academic degree awarded by a college, university, or conservatory upon completion of a program of study in music. The degree may be awarded for performance, music education, composition, music theory, musicology / music history, music technology, music therapy, sacred music, music business/music industry, entertainment, music production, or jazz studies. Since the 2010s, some universities have begun offering degrees in music composition with technology, which include traditional theory and musicology courses and sound recording and composition courses using digital technologies.

The Elder Conservatorium of Music and its forerunners have been parts of the University of Adelaide since the early 1880s.

The Boston University College of Fine Arts(CFA) is the performing, cinematic, and media arts school of Boston University. Founded in 1872 with the establishment of the College of Music, it is an institution that trains artists, scholars of the arts, and filmmakers. Since the College of Fine Arts is integrated into Boston University, students at CFA may choose courses in the other undergraduate colleges at Boston University. CFA students can also apply for the Boston University Collaborative Degree Program (BUCOP), where students simultaneously earn undergraduate degrees at CFA and in one of 14 undergraduate colleges of the university. The UWA Conservatorium of Music is a teaching and research school offering undergraduate and postgraduate study in music at the University of Western Australia. It is located at the north-east corner of the Crawley campus and teaches predominately Classical music, with focus in the undergraduate curriculum on performance, as well as overall strength in musicology, composition and electronic music. In 2016, UWA entered the top 100 "Performing Arts" institutions in the world, and in 2017 and 2018 the School improved its ranking to enter the top 50 in the world, according to the QS World University Rankings. The Conservatorium is also well regarded in research. Under the research code "19 Studies in Creative Arts and Writing", the Conservatorium was rated as "4 - Above World Standard" by the Australian Research Council in 2018. Previously, the name of the organisation has been the UWA Department of Music, and the UWA School of Music.
Andrew Legg is a Tasmanian musician and director of the Southern Gospel Choir, which he runs through the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music. He is the Head of School at the Conservatorium, as well as a contemporary piano & keyboard tutor. He is also Director of Music at St Clements Anglican Church, Kingston.
