The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE), [1] is a Board of education in Telangana, India. [2] It was established in 2014. It is located at Nampally, Hyderabad.

The board regulates and supervises the system of intermediate education in Telangana State. It executes and governs various activities that include devising of courses of study, prescribing syllabus, conducting examinations, granting affiliations to colleges arnd, providing direction, support and leadership for all educational institutions under its jurisdiction.

Honourable Minister of the State for Secondary Education acts as chairman and secretary to Government, Secondary Education as vice-chairman of the board. The secretary of I.A.S. Rank acts as the chief executive of the board.

Functions

It has a two-tier structure – head office at state level and regional offices in 10 districts.

Aims and objectives of intermediate education

Examination

Examination is one of the most important functions of the board. Every year a large number of students appear in Telangana Intermediate Examination for 1st Year (Junior) / Class 11 and 2nd Year (Senior) / Class 12 under the two course schemes – Regular & Vocational. Every year, TS Intermediate Examination has to be conducted in March/April.

Pattern

The Intermediate Public Examination is being conducted since 1978–79 both at the end of 1st year course and at the end of 2nd year course. Earlier the Public Examination was only at the end of 2nd year. The candidates are examined in Part-I English, Part-II Second Language and Part-III Group subjects as follows:

The percentage of pass marks in each paper is 35. The division in which the candidates are placed is decided on the basis of their passing all the papers in the 1st year and in the 2nd year.

Syllabus

The Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana, Hyderabad is offering a multitude of academic programmes. With a view to give greater impetus to the academic aspects of the board, a separate academic wing called "Educational Research and Training Wing" was created. The board enjoys the prerogative right of prescribing textbooks of two year Intermediate course.

The syllabus of language subjects and optional subjects is structured by concerned Subject Committees constituted by the Board. The committees also undertake a revision of syllabus and its updates keeping the changes and current trends in view.

Noble College in Machilipatnam was founded by late Robert Turlington Noble, an English missionary, in 1843. Rev. Noble came to then Masulipatnam as a Christian Missionary in 1841 and stayed until his death. The Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP) is a board of education in Andhra Pradesh, India. Established in 1971, it was located in Hyderabad, situated in the composite Andhra Pradesh state. The board is now located in Vijayawada after state reorganization in 2014. The board offers two-year courses in 85 streams and courses and conducts examinations.

All India Secondary School Examination, commonly known as the class 10th board exam, is a centralized public examination that students in schools affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education, primarily in India but also in other Indian-patterned schools affiliated to the CBSE across the world, taken at the end of class 10. The board conducts the examination during the period of February–March. Previously it was taken in March to April every year. In this exam, mathematics, science, and social science are compulsory, with any two languages. Students can also opt skill subject such as information technology, painting, yoga, music or artificial intelligence. Successful candidates are awarded the Secondary School Completion Certificate, a statement of marks, and a migration certificate stating that the candidate has completed secondary schooling and can pursue higher education. For the academic year 2016–17, the Central Board of Secondary Education has revived the old system of syllabus and marking scheme (complete syllabus for All India Secondary School Examination and marks out of 500. India has state exams and central exams. From 2017 to 2018 and later academics year use old format. The answer sheets are formulated by the teachers appointed by the CBSE because of which the results may vary and cannot be made a strong evidence for assessment of a student's knowledge and understanding of the subject . The result is produced and published by CBSE usually after 40 days of the exams. The exams are easy and a good preparation could be done in 2 to 3 months. Although the exams are given much importance, their results have less to do with the afterlife of students pursuing STEM in India but they can play a major role in the careers of other students. Also, these exams are not competitive and hence students are not advised to take much stress in the preparation and instead should enjoy their time.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Veleru is one of the approximately 661 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in India, located in Veleru village, Bapulapadu mandal near Hanuman Junction in Andhra Pradesh. It was established in 1989 by the Department of Education, MHRD.| Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas were planned to set up in all the districts of the country in order to provide an education to children from predominantly rural areas. They form a part of the system of gifted education.
