Nicola James Capaldi was an English singer-songwriter and drummer. His musical career spanned more than four decades. He co-founded the progressive rock band Traffic in 1967 with Steve Winwood with whom he co-wrote the majority of the band's material. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a part of Traffic's original lineup.
Supernatural is the eighteenth studio album by American rock band Santana, released on June 15, 1999, on Arista Records. After Santana found themselves without a label in the mid-1990s, founding member and guitarist Carlos Santana began talks with Arista president Clive Davis, who had originally signed the group to Columbia Records in 1969. Santana and Davis worked with A&R man Pete Ganbarg, as Santana wanted to focus on pop and radio-friendly material. Oneness: Silver Dreams - Golden Reality is a 1979 album by Carlos Santana. It was his second of three albums to be released under his temporary Sanskrit name Devadip Carlos Santana, given to him by Sri Chinmoy. The album, which consists mostly of instrumental songs and ballads, features members of the band Santana, as well as Carlos Santana's first wife Deborah and father-in-law Saunders King. According to Santana, Oneness was influenced by Weather Report's album Mysterious Traveller. The track "Transformation Day" is an adaptation of part of Alan Hovhaness's symphonic work Mysterious Mountain.
"Illegal" is a song recorded by Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira for her seventh studio album, Oral Fixation, Vol. 2 (2005). It was written and produced by Shakira and Lester Mendez and it features Mexican-American guitarist Carlos Santana. Epic Records released the song as the album's third and final single on 28 August 2006, following the release of "Hips Don't Lie". "Illegal" is a pop and country ballad with lyrics concerning mourning of a past lover complete with an understated vocal performance by Shakira and an electric guitar riff by Santana throughout. It received mixed reviews from music critics, who compared it with Alanis Morissette's material and were mixed towards Santana's contribution.
Antonio Rayo, best known as Rayito, is a Spanish musician of Gitano and Japanese heritage. His father, a flamenco guitarist, taught him to play the instrument at a young age, and at the age of four years he was already giving concerts and winning television contests. By age eight he was famous throughout Spain as a virtuoso of flamenco guitar, and in 1992, at age ten, he released his first album, Rayito en Concierto. Thus he became the youngest person accepted into the SGAE, the Spanish equivalent of ASCAP. At age 15 he moved to Miami, where he collaborated with artists including Luciano Pavarotti, Plácido Domingo, Julio Iglesias, Paulina Rubio, Ricky Martin, and David Bisbal. In June 2005 he moved again to Puerto Rico, where he began work on a new project of his own. The product was his eponymous second album, which he released on September 26, 2006. He describes it as a flamenco pop album that draws on reggae, hip hop, Caribbean rhythms, and Latin American styles. Rayo signed a publishing deal with Sony in January 2009. He has worked with David Bisbal, Paulina Rubio, and Rihanna, among other artists.

Written and produced by Anthony and Cory Rooney, "I Need to Know" is a song about a man who longs to know how a woman feels about him. The song blends the musical styles of several genres, including R&B and Latin music; the instruments used include synthesized violin and piano sounds, timbales and congas. The Lo Nuestro Award for Pop Album of the Year was an honor presented annually by American television network Univision at the Lo Nuestro Awards. The accolade was established to recognize the most talented performers of Latin music. The nominees and winners were originally selected by a voting poll conducted among program directors of Spanish-language radio stations in the United States and also based on chart performance on Billboard Latin music charts, with the results being tabulated and certified by the accounting firm Deloitte. However, since 2004, the winners are selected through an online survey. The trophy awarded is shaped in the form of a treble clef.
"La Bicicleta" is a song by Colombian singer and songwriters Carlos Vives and Shakira, from the former's fifteenth studio album Vives (2017) and is also included as an album track on Shakira's eleventh studio album El Dorado (2017). The song was written by both singers, and produced by Andrés Castro and it marks Shakira's first collaboration with a fellow Colombian artist. "La Bicicleta" was intended to be representative of both singers' homelands musical styles in Colombia. It is a song with a mixture of various musical genres – vallenato, pop and reggaeton – and it features indigenous Colombian wind instruments and accordions. Lyrically, it is a nostalgic song, describing the duo's excursion on bikes to places of their childhood. Music critics reviewed the song positively, praising it for its catchiness and inclusion of various Colombian music elements. The song won two Latin Grammy Awards at the 17th Latin Grammy Awards for Song of the Year and Record of the Year.
