Twelve Mile Crossing at Fountain Walk is an open-air lifestyle center retail complex located across from the super-regional Twelve Oaks Mall in the city of Novi, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. The center features Dick's Sporting Goods and Floor & Decor its anchor stores, as well as a movie theater, game room, and several restaurants.
After initial delays that saw the cancellation of two proposed anchor stores (a Jillian's and a movie theater), [1] construction began on Fountain Walk in late 2001. The mall's owner, PLC Novi West, initially worked with Taubman Centers and Ramco-Gershenson, two Detroit-area based developers; Schostak Corporation was later hired as a leasing agent. [2]
The first stores to open were Galyan's Trading Company and The Great Indoors. [3] A year later, the rest of the mall opened to the public. [3] Additional renovations brought Emagine Novi- an 18-screen movie theater- and a game room called Lucky Strike to the center. [2] The entire Galyan's chain was acquired and re-branded by Dick's Sporting Goods in 2004. Later that year, the mall's developers filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy. [2]
Difficulty of access to the mall has been cited as a factor limiting the center's growth, [4] as the mall lacks visibility from 12 Mile Road, Novi Road, and Interstate 96, the three major roads that surround it. The center has been no more than seventy percent leased since its opening, and several major tenants have closed. [5] Modern Skate & Surf announced on its website that it was moving because "the landlord is remodeling the mall and our building will be torn down." [6]
Approximately 60,000 square feet (5,574.2 m2) of the mall was demolished in 2006 and re-developed; [5] similarly, another large part of the mall which housed Modern Skate was demolished in July 2008. [7] Additional big-box stores were added during the renovation, including a Powerhouse Gym. [8] The center was also renamed Twelve Mile Crossing at Fountain Walk. [9] Cost Plus World Market announced the closure of all its Detroit locations in April 2008. [10] The middle portion of the mall was then torn down, and a large section of retail space was converted to a gym. After parent company Sears closed all of its Great Indoors stores in 2012, the location at Fountain Walk was converted to a Sears Outlet store. [11] Mall developers have also presented the City of Novi with a plan to construct multiple tenant buildings along with a large retail/supermarket space to be built behind Dick's.
On August 14, 2019, Sears Outlet closed. Floor & Decor has since moved into the vacated store.

Cape Cod Mall is a shopping mall in the Hyannis village of Barnstable, Massachusetts. The mall opened in 1970 and was renovated and expanded in the late 1990s, bringing the property to 723,605 square feet (67,225 m2) of gross leasable area. It is currently managed and partially owned by Simon Property Group. The anchor stores are Marshalls, Best Buy, 2 Macy's stores, Regal Cinemas, Target, Dick's Sporting Goods, and Barnes & Noble.

Polaris Fashion Place is a two level shopping mall and surrounding retail plaza serving Columbus, Ohio, United States. The mall, owned locally by Washington Prime Group, is located off Interstate 71 on Polaris Parkway in Delaware County just to the north of the boundary between Delaware and Franklin County. Great Lakes Crossing Outlets, formerly Great Lakes Crossing, is a shopping mall in Auburn Hills, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit, Michigan, United States. The site of the mall was originally to have been occupied by a different mall called Auburn Mills, which was never built due to financial issues of its intended developer, Western Development Corporation. Great Lakes Crossing was built on the site and opened in 1998. Constructed and owned by Taubman Centers, Great Lakes Crossing Outlets is the largest outlet mall in the state of Michigan. It features 185 stores, with anchor stores including Burlington, Bass Pro Shops, TJ Maxx, and Marshalls; other notable attractions include a 1,000-seat food court, a 25-screen AMC Star movie theater, Round1, Legoland Discovery Center, and Sea Life Michigan.
Summit Place Mall, originally Pontiac Mall, was a shopping mall in Waterford Township, Michigan, United States. Opened in 1962 as the first enclosed mall in Michigan, it was built on a 74-acre (30 ha) site. After expansions in 1987 and 1993, it comprised more than 1,400,000 square feet (130,000 m2) of retail space. At its peak, it had approximately 200 inline tenants and six anchor stores: Hudson's, Sears, J. C. Penney, Montgomery Ward, Service Merchandise, and Kohl's.

Rolling Acres Mall was a shopping mall located in the Rolling Acres area of Akron, Ohio, United States. Built in 1975, it originally included approximately 21 stores, with Sears as the main anchor store. Later expansions added several more stores including anchor stores JCPenney, Montgomery Ward, and O'Neil's, along with a movie theater and food court. Montgomery Ward was converted to Higbee's in 1986, and then to Dillard's in 1992, while O'Neil's became May Company Ohio, Kaufmann's, and then finally Macy's. The fifth anchor store was Target, added in 1995. At its peak, the mall had over 150 stores. It underwent a sharp decline in tenancy throughout the 1990s and into the first decade of the 21st century, resulting in the relocation of Target and closure of Dillard's. Macy's and the mall itself both shuttered in 2008, although Sears remained operational until 2011, and JCPenney as an outlet store until 2013. Rolling Acres Mall was publicized after its closure as an example of a dead mall, and non-retail ventures operated out of the former locations of Target, Sears, and Dillard's. The mall was finally demolished in stages between 2017 and 2019, with Amazon building a distribution facility on the former site soon after.
Castleton Square is an enclosed shopping mall in the Castleton neighborhood on the northeastern side of Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. Built by Edward J. DeBartolo Corporation and Homart Development Company in 1972, it is owned and managed by Simon Property Group. It is the largest mall in the state of Indiana, and has remained so since its construction. The center's original anchor stores were JCPenney, Sears, Lazarus, and Woolworth. Expansions in 1990 and 1998 added to the total number of anchor and inline stores, while also adding a food court. The anchor stores are JCPenney, Forever 21, H&M, AMC Theatres, Dick's Sporting Goods, Macy's, and Von Maur; the former location of Sears has been vacant since 2018. Overall, Castleton Square consists of over 130 inline stores.

Gurnee Mills is a shopping mall and outlet mall in Gurnee, Illinois, within the Chicago metropolitan area. Like the nearby Six Flags Great America and Great Wolf Lodge, the mall's placement in Gurnee is intended to bring customers from both Chicago and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. With 1,936,699 square feet (179,925 m2) of gross leasable area and ten major anchor stores in its Z-shaped single-story building, it is the third largest mall in Illinois, and the largest of the four enclosed shopping centers in Lake County. Owned and operated by the Simon Property Group, it was an early part of the "Landmark Mills" chain of shopping malls built by the Mills Corporation. The mall features Hobby Lobby, Macy's, Kohl's, Marshalls/HomeGoods, Value City Furniture, Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World, Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse, Forever 21, H&M, Dick's Sporting Goods, Marcus Theatres, Rainforest Cafe, Top Shelf Ice Arena, The RoomPlace, Lee Wrangler Clearance Center, Burlington Coat Factory, and Floor & Decor as its anchor tenants.
Tri-County Mall, originally Tri-County Center, was a shopping mall located on State Route 747 just south of Interstate 275 in the city of Springdale, Ohio, a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. Originally known as Tri-County Shopping Center, it opened in 1960 and has been expanded several times in its history. The original shopping center was an open-air property featuring H. & S. Pogue Company (Pogue's) and John Shillito Company (Shillito's) as the anchor stores. An enclosed wing anchored by Sears was added in 1969, followed by the enclosure of the rest of the mall. Shillito's was later known as Shillito-Rike's, Lazarus, Lazarus-Macy's, and then just Macy's; Pogue's was consolidated with L. S. Ayres and then converted to JCPenney. A mall expansion begun in 1990 and finished in 1992 added a second level of stores and McAlpin's as a fourth anchor store. The mall underwent a slow decline in the 21st century, owing mainly to the center's age and increased competition, and lost all of its anchors. Both JCPenney and Dillard's relocated to newer shopping centers in the 2010s, while Sears closed in 2018 and Macy's closed in 2021. The mall itself closed on May 15, 2022. It is owned by MarketSpace Capital and Park Harbor Capital.

The Spotsylvania Towne Centre is a mall located in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, on Virginia State Route 3, less than a mile west of Interstate 95, and directly across from the Central Park shopping and dining complex. The mall is owned and developed by Cafaro Company. The property was renamed as "Spotsylvania Towne Centre" at the beginning of a $12 million renovation project. The project, completed in 2009, included an extensive remodeling of the mall's interior and exterior. At the same time, construction was begun on an outdoor lifestyle center called "The Village." The mall's anchor stores are Guitar Center, Dick's Sporting Goods, Belk, Costco, JCPenney, and Macy's. There is 1 vacant anchor that was once Sears. The Splitsville Bowling Alley is connected to a movie theater. The mall also houses over 150 specialty stores and restaurants.
Greeley Mall is a 578,000-square-foot (53,700 m2) mall located in Greeley, Colorado. It has about 61 tenant spaces inside the mall along with five anchor spaces, but only one of the five anchors (Cinemark) are occupied.
