UV Creations is an Indian film production company and distribution company known for its works in Telugu cinema. It is considered one of the most successful production houses in South Indian cinema. Established by V. Vamsi Krishna Reddy, Pramod Uppalapati and Vikram Reddy in 2013, The production house mainly produces and distributes Telugu films. [3]

Production

2013-2015

The company's first production was Mirchi starring Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Richa Gangopadhyay, Sathyaraj, Sampath Raj and directed by Koratala Siva, in his debut, while the music was composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The cinematography was done by Madhie. [4] The film had a 30 crore budget and collected 80 crore at the worldwide box office. Also one of the highest grossing Telugu films of the year 2013. [5]

Their second production was Run Raja Run starring Sharwanand, Seerat Kapoor and Adivi Sesh and directed by debutant Sujeeth. Music composed by Ghibran. [6]

In 2015, the company produced 2 movies. Jil (film) starring Gopichand, Raashii Khanna and Kabir Duhan Singh in lead roles, was directed by Radha Krishna Kumar. Ghibran composed the music and Sakthi Saravanan. [7] Their next film was Bhale Bhale Magadivoy starring Nani, Lavanya Tripathi, Murali Sharma and directed by Maruthi. [8]

2016-2019

In 2016, they produced Express Raja starring Sharwanand and Surbhi was directed by Merlapaka Gandhi. Their next project was Mahanubhavudu starring Sharwanand, Mehreen Pirzada and directed by Maruthi. [9]

In 2018, the company produced 3 movies. Bhaagamathie starring Anushka Shetty in lead role was directed by G. Ashok. Their second venture was Happy Wedding (2018 film) starring Niharika Konidela, Sumanth Ashwin in lead roles, and directed by Lakshman Karya. [10]

In 2019 the company produced 2 films. It first released Saaho starring Prabhas, Shraddha Kapoor and directed by Sujeeth. Their final release of the year was Prati Roju Pandage directed by Maruthi. [11]

2020–present

They announced Vishwambhara starring Chiranjeevi, Trisha and Surbhi in lead roles. Directed by Mallidi Vassishta, Music composed by M. M. Keeravani and Chota K. Naidu handled the cinematography, Releasing on 10 January 2025. [12] [13]

There are two other projects in development; Kanguva starring Suriya and directed by Siva. Devi Sri Prasad composed the score, [14] and #Sharwa36. [15]

<i>Express Raja</i> 2016 Indian film

Express Raja is a 2016 Indian Telugu-language hyperlink romantic comedy thriller film written and directed by Merlapaka Gandhi. Produced by V. Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati under their production company UV Creations, the film features Sharwanand and Surbhi in the lead roles with Harish Uthaman, Prabhas Sreenu, Sapthagiri, Urvashi, Supreeth, and Brahmaji in supporting roles. The music was composed by Praveen Lakkaraju with cinematography by Karthik Ghattamaneni. The film was released worldwide on 14 January 2016 coinciding with the festival of Sankranthi.

The 50th Filmfare Awards South ceremony honouring the winners and nominees of the best of South Indian cinema in films released 2002, is an event that was held at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad, 24 May 2003. The awards were distributed at Hyderabad.

<i>Saaho</i> 2019 film directed by Sujeeth

Saaho is a 2019 Indian Telugu-language action thriller film written and directed by Sujeeth, and produced by UV Creations and T-Series. Shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi languages, Saaho stars Prabhas in the title role, and an ensemble cast of Shraddha Kapoor, Chunky Pandey, Jackie Shroff, Arun Vijay, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Lal, Murali Sharma, Mandira Bedi, Mahesh Manjrekar, Prakash Belawadi, Tinnu Anand, Evelyn Sharma, Supreeth, Devan and Vennela Kishore. It is the Hindi film debut of Prabhas and the Telugu film debut of Shraddha Kapoor. The film follows two undercover officers, searching for a robber who has stolen ₹2,000 crore. They soon realise the case is linked to the death of a prominent business tycoon and an emerging gang war for the control of a megalopolis.

Jyothika is an Indian actress who appears predominantly in Tamil films. She also acted in some Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada films. She debuted in Bollywood in the Hindi film Doli Saja Ke Rakhna (1997), directed by Priyadarshan. The SIIMA Award for Best Film – Telugu is presented by Vibri media group as part of its annual South Indian International Movie Awards for Telugu films. The award was first given in 2012 for films released in 2011.

Pan-Indianfilm is a term related to Indian cinema that originated with Telugu cinema as a mainstream commercial cinema appealing to audiences across the country with a spread to world markets. S. S. Rajamouli pioneered the pan-Indian films movement with duology of epic action films Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017), that changed the face of Indian cinema. The term "pan-Indian film" is used for a film that is simultaneously marketed and released in multiple languages across India – Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. Such films make an attempt to appeal to the audiences across the country, cutting across the linguistic, regional and cultural barriers.

Indian actor Prabhas works predominantly in Telugu cinema. One of the highest-paid actors in Indian cinema, Prabhas has featured in Forbes India's Celebrity 100 list since 2015. Prabhas is the second Indian actor to receive the 'Russian Audience Heart Award' in 2020, after veteran actor Raj Kapoor who won it 30 years ago.

Vishwambhara is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language socio-fantasy film written and directed by Mallidi Vassishta and produced by UV Creations. The film stars Chiranjeevi and Trisha in lead roles. It was announced in August 2023, and principal photography commenced in January 2024. The film is scheduled to release on 10 January 2025.
