Summer Universiade appearances (overview)

Ukraine competed at the 2007 Summer Universiade in Bangkok, Thailand, from 8 to 18 August 2007. Ukrainian athletes did not compete in badminton, golf, softball, and water polo. Ukrainian men's basketball team finished 14th. Ukrainian men's volleyball team finished 6th.

Andrew James Vernon is a British long-distance runner who specialised in the 5000 metres, the 10,000 metres on track and cross country running. Nikolai Yulievich Kuksenkov is a retired Russian gymnast who won a silver medal in the team event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He competed for Ukraine for many years and moved to Russia after the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where he placed fourth in the all-around and fourth with the team.

He also helped out the Ukrainian team to upset their American rivals and claim the medley relay title (3:38.49) at the 2005 Summer Universiade in Izmir, Turkey.

She is the 2007 Summer Universiade uneven bars champion and team silver medalist and the 2009 Summer Universiade balance beam bronze medalist. She represented Ukraine at the 2008 Summer Olympics and finished eighth in the uneven bars final.

Ukraine participated at the 2017 Summer Universiade in Taipei, Taiwan. 160 Ukrainian athletes competed in archery, athletics, basketball, diving, fencing, football, gymnastics, judo, swimming, taekwondo, volleyball, weightlifting, and wushu. Ukraine was not represented in badminton, baseball, billiards, golf, roller sports, table tennis, tennis, and water polo. The team won 36 medals, 12 of which were gold, and finished 6th.

Valeriy Bohdanovych Litanyuk is a Ukrainian racewalker. In 2019, he competed in the men's 50 kilometres walk at the 2019 World Athletics Championships held in Doha, Qatar. He finished in 25th place.

Ukraine was not represented in rugby sevens, sailing, shooting, table tennis and water polo. The team won 20 medals, 6 of which were gold, and for the first time finished outside Top-10.

Ihor Khmara is a Ukrainian male rower. He represented Ukraine together with Stanislav Kovalov at the 2020 Summer Olympics in the lightweight double sculls competition where they finished 9th.
