Viiala is a former municipality of Finland. On 1 January 2007, it was consolidated with Toijala to form the town of Akaa.

Viiala is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Pirkanmaa region. The municipality had a population of 5,329 (2003) and covered an area of 56.78 km2 of which 5.88 km² is water. The population density was 104.7 inhabitants per km².

The municipality was unilingually Finnish.

Akaa Solar System Scale Model is located at the center of the city of Akaa, Finland. The Sun is located at the school campus of Toijalan Yhteiskoulu –school in Toijala district. The scale of the model is 1 : 3 000 000 000, meaning that each centimetre in the scale model represents 30 000 km in real life. The Sun is 464 mm in diameter and the Earth is 4 mm in diameter and located 49.86 meters away from the Sun. Neptune is 1500 meters away from the Sun, for example. Akaa Solar System Scale Model was built in 2017 by amateur astronomer Kari-Pekka Arola.

The Viiala railway station is located in the town of Akaa, Finland, in the urban area and district of Viiala. It is located along the Riihimäki–Tampere railway, and its neighboring stations are Lempäälä in the north and Toijala in the south.

The network is part of the Tampere Regional Transport Authority network, and is operated by VR, the Finnish state-owned national railway company. Ratina (district) City district in Tampere, Finland

Ratina is a district in the center of Tampere, Finland, on the east side of Tammerkoski. The Ratina Stadium, Tampere Bus Station and Tampere's largest shopping mall, the Ratina shopping centre, are located in the district, among others. To the north of Ratina is also the Koskikeskus shopping centre. The district consists of a peninsula called Ratinanniemi, which is surrounded on three sides by Ratinansuvanto and Viinikanlahti. Between Ratinanniemi and the Laukontori square is a pedestrian bridge called Laukonsilta, which significantly shortens travel time to the city center. The Tampere highway has good connections to the Helsinki-Tampere motorway and along it to the Tampere Ring Road, and via the Ratinansilta bridge and the Hämeenpuisto park to Highway 12. Ratinanranta is the southern part of the Tampere highway from Ratina, which used to be a recreation ground and factory area. Its new construction into a dense apartment building area of 1,000 inhabitants began in 2008, and the latest residential buildings east of the Voimakatu street are expected to be completed in 2013.

Haihara

Haihara is a small district in Tampere, Finland, located about seven kilometers from the city center. Haihara is bordered on the south by Kaukajärvi, on the west by Viiala and on the north by Hankkio. In 2014, Haihara had 199 inhabitants. After Kämmenniemi and Korkinmäki, Haihara had the relatively highest number of school-age children in the districts of Tampere in 2014. Despite its name, the Haihara Manor and Haihara Art Center are not in Haihara, but are located on the Kaukajärvi side.

Hankkio

Hankkio is a district in Tampere, Finland, located in the eastern part of the city. The neighboring parts of the city are Messukylä, Ristinarkku, Linnainmaa, Vehmainen, Haihara, Kaukajärvi and Viiala. The Hankkio district is bordered on the south by the Kangasalantie road and on the north by the Tampere–Haapamäki railway.

Turtola, Tampere

Turtola is a district in Tampere, Finland. It is located in the southeastern part of the city near the Tampere Ring Road, about five kilometers from the city center. Its neighboring parts of the city are Muotiala, Aakkula, Messukylä, Viiala and Korkinmäki. The Hervanta Highway runs through Turtola. One of Tampere's hypermarket centers is located in Turtola.
